It's a shame really. Would have liked to have seen him signed to an extension.

I halfway didn't expect that.

Hours after our top recruits de-committed.

I love my Ducks but I'm expecting them to do something lame like bring Bellotti back.

Some insider on the Oregon 247 board that has been right about stuff in the past says Chip is coming back.

I have been beating the fire Helfrich drum since last year, but I still have to feel kind of sad for the guy being a fellow Southern Oregonian, there was a bit of pride there seeing one of us in that position.

I loved Chip when he was HC but I don't want him back. He's not a great recruiter.

If he wants to come back I'd certainly take him back, but right now I'd rather they went after someone like PJ Fleck. Lane Kiffin is also being beaten around and would be hilarious in a dumpster fire kind of way.

I want Pj Fleck. Big time motivator, young, and looks like he can turn teams around.

Problem is he is young and if has major success... we will be in the same place as when Chip left. I like him a lot but I'd prefer someone who is established and looking to stay long term.

They better NOT try for Kiffin...

Good ol Joey Freshwater lol

He is a good recruiter and he has been learning under Satan himself so a comeback could be in the making. I doubt it's us who make that call but someone will.

Another name to consider would be Josh McDaniels.

Good he sucks! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. No one is untouchable!!

Canzano thinks its greg schiano.

I think that would be a good hire.

Bad decision to fire him in my opinion. But as a Beaver fan, I love it! He had them in the national championship game not long ago! He had a bunch of injuries and a very young team this year. He deserved one more year to prove himself.

Lol we were only in the championship because of Mariota, and veteran playmakers on the defense.

I'll kindly disagree. He can't recruit for shit. His game management sucked.

You know, the more I think about Kiffin the more I'd be okay with it... he would bring in a stellar staff with him (Saban/Carroll coaching tree type hires). It would just all depend on his ability to not fuck up... it's the classic super high ceiling and super low floor.
