Where can I go in Portland? Please don't push this into the OT forum just yet, I want to get a place to head for dinner.

Okay I grew up going there, but I can't go back now that I know all of there food comes prepackaged and is simply heated in the microwave. I had a buddy that worked there during high school.
 
Go to the Screen Door man. No tacos but god damn some good southern food. Get the mac and cheese.

Go to Del Taco in Gresham. ;)

If you want a drive, go to La Hacienda in Oregon City. Freaking awesome crunchies, tons of foods, and as authentic as you'll find in the metro area.
