very funny... in all seriousness... this is the second time, and it happened with my card, not my wife's card... so I can't blame her... I only ever use it when I'm at gas stations or when I'm checking out at the grocery store/Wal-Mart...

yeah... I don't really use major credit cards any more... and its a credit union and they should cover it and put the money back in the account, but its a royal pain in the ass...

I hope so as well... my boss is letting me leave work early so I can get to the bank at a decent hour... only problem... I'm low on gas and live an hour away from work and was planning on using this card (now canceled) to get gas on my way home (before I saw the fraudulent charges)... just have to hope I can make it to the bank (close to home) before I run out of gas... if not, I have AAA... life is great, isn't it?

Hammer, they recently busted a string of gas stations in Fort Lauderdale for clonings peoples cards. I filled up one night at this Shell Station in Fort Lauderdale around 8:30 at 9:30 they were using my card at a Best Buys in Mobile, Alabama. It's the gas station, I'll bet you on it.

If its a dirty store it wouldn't matter. They capture the same info at the pump or at the cash register.

I don't mean to sound cold on this & I know its good for emergencies & convienence but I go CASH on everything. Here's a thought though I don't know how gas cards work but if they're used strictly for gas only & no other purchases can be made on them maybe its an idea.
