Andre Miller, who becomes a free agent after the season, said that he would "probably not" return to the Nuggets next season if the role is to back up Ty Lawson. But Miller wouldn't completely rule that out as a possibility if no better situations were available.

"At this point in my career, I don't see myself as a backup," Miller said. "For 13 years, I wasn't a backup before. This is a short season (due to the lockout), so I'll deal with it. But I don't see myself as a backup at this point in my career. I don't see that.”

You can come here Andre!

lol. Steve Blake redux.

I kind of doubt he'd come back here, or that we'd want him. I like Andre Miller, but his shooting liability and his declining defense make him a tough guy to start on an upper echelon team. In the playoffs especially he becomes a guy the other team can build their defensive and offensive schemes around to exploit.

It's weird that Denver is having the same problem as PDX. I think Miller had more of a case here in Portland though. Miller isn't the best PG in Denver.

He's not saying he should start over Lawson, he's just saying he thinks he deserves a starting gig somewhere after he becomes a free agent.

On another note, I can definitely defend the trade for Felton because of age and I think we've yet to see Ray's better days, but damn, I miss Dre to LMA.

He's the ONLY PG in Denver. Lawson is a short SG.

Don't believe the Lawson hype! Funny how well Denver played last night without Lawson.

Yeah, they allowed 115 points to the Nets!

Lawson's AST% is ~30%. Felton's is ~32%. Andre's is ~33%. He's fine.

I love Dre, but it seems sometimes that Dre really doesn't want ANYONE to love him. But his teammates seem to anyway (at least, Iggy and LA have said so publicly).

We will be fine once Ray starts shooting the ball better. I have zero desire to go back to Dre Day.

How well they played? They gave up 115 points to a lousy New Jersey team thats 26th in the league in PPG.

Just because he didn't try very hard in some garbage Euroleague games over the summer doesn't mean that Lawson isn't for real.

Agreed. I like Ray, but Denver chose the right PG to keep.

Andre Miller has never made it out of the first round

Less whining, more practicing

He would never come back here by choice.

The East values him. Move Jrue to SG, Meeks to the bench, and Andre can have his old job back in Philadelphia. Same place we sent Cheeks.

A system which requires PG talents which are the opposite of his. Or to say it in one word--Nate.
