Or did Pritchard pass on the Hornets?

The New Orleans Hornets have fought off the Phoenix Suns to land San Antonio's Dell Demps as their next general manager.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that Demps and the Hornets reached an agreement in principle Tuesday night on a deal that will install the Spurs' vice president of basketball operations as Jeff Bower's replacement.

Sources said the Hornets came out of the weekend confident that Demps wanted to come to New Orleans, where he and former Spurs teammate Monty Williams will work together as GM and coach.

Point Guard deal coming soon ;)

That is not a good job. I'm fairly certain that KP passed on them ... or they just really liked Demps ... who knows. I'm sure KP will get a shot somewhere sooner or later (maybe not as a full-fledged GM, but at the very least as a head scout or some kind of player personnel guy).

A lot of GM jobs out there, but nobody wants KP?

.......next to an oil spill.

Smack dab in the middle of a 3rd world country! You should see the 10 block radius around their arena. It looks like the set of RoboCop!

I said it earlier, KP would not accept this job. He is paid this season by the Blazers so there is no need to jump into one of the worst situations in the NBA. He will either find a spot with a good owner / team or he will wait till next season.

Maybe KP wanted to keep CP3 and Shinn said no, so KP said he didn't want the job :)

at least Monty can get drunk and see titties every night!

Yeah, having his first task be trading CP3 to Portland wouldn't really sit well with KP, would it?

KP is the best GM ever, so he obviously could have had this job if he wanted it.

EDIT: sorry, or the NJ job

How can all these owners not see what we loyal Oregonian readers so fervently believe in with all our hearts and souls?

A little OT, but I think the Thunder should reach out to Tom Penn. I don't think they have anyone within the organization that has Cho's cap ability.

My guess is KP takes a job more like the Warriors job, or one that's not available this year. He'll take a job where the owners want a rebuild and have resources. NO isn't an attractive job. Pritchard has the ability to sit out this year, pocket $800K from the Blazers and another couple of hundred thousand from a network. He can then take his time and get the job he wants.

After being canned from his previous job, he needs to select his next job carefully.

LMFAO, I know I shouldn't laugh because it's true, but freaking beautiful description fams. WTF does fams mean anyways? BenDavis in that thread only confused me MORE!

That's really the only logical conclusion to draw and that further Shinn was insisting a deal with Portland be executed for Batum + scraps for CP3 and Okafor. I don't see any other way to read this piece really. I mean it's quite clear.

To me it's clear about the general lesson here. Every trade that Pritchard missed was because it wasn't good enough for him. The 3 GM jobs passed him by because they weren't good enough for him. Our god is omnipotent, so he can have anything he wants, so if he doesn't get something, it must have been his choice.

FAMS-
someone real close to you such as best friend or family...........
Example-what up fams whats good?

Growing up guys would say it instead of.....Boy, Cuz, Partner, Brother, Man.

Gotcha thanks for helping out a suburban cracker such as myself. You even took time off from driving your Taqueria roach coach to type that. I'm impressed!

NOLA is the ONLY town I've ever been to that I actually don't feel safe walking around in!

Try San Salvador down in El Salvador, or Managua in Nicaragua especially at 4am. I almost had a fucking permanent panic attack walking to a bus stop at 4am. I seriously was so close to shitting my drawers I can't even tell you.

Our "security escort", and I use that term very fucking loosely, was "armed" with a steel pipe with holes drilled through it and a whistle to blow to summon the rest of the private security guys also armed with pipes. With all the gunshots I heard that night AND CLOSE, I was so fucking scared I can't even tell you. I don't think I breathed once in the 15 minute walk.

That shit down there, makes I don't care where in the US look like Kindergarten Class with Barney and Big Bird. Desperation down there was off the charts. So sad, the Reagan administration fucking destroyed those countries so incredibly sad.
