Good lord. Does that mean the offense is going to be Evans and Davis? They will have no outside game what so ever.
What about Eric Gordon?
What about Eric Gordon?
Word is they are shopping him I think. I say the Pelicans go full tank mode now and get a top 10 pick. They are a lot like us last year in that they have a lot of good pieces that are young without enough help. Add a 2014 draft pick and another year of development to Davis and they could be scary next year. I know they wanted it this year but this could work out in their favor in the long run.

They owe their pick to Philly. It's top 5 protected. With how bad the east is, I have a hard time seeing how they can tank hard enough to keep their pick.
You are right, Ouch! They should made that top 10 this year then dropped it to top 5 later. That could really come back to bite them.
In other news, Philly is going to be tough next year..... or maybe the year after that.
Uh oh.
Pierre Jackson (Idaho Stampede): Jackson's NBA rights were acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans on draft night as part of the Nerlens Noel-Jrue Holiday blockbuster. D-League rules stipulate that the
Pelicans are thus the only NBA team that can call Jackson up this season unless they deal the No. 42 overall pick before the Feb. 20 trade deadline. And that's the only reason Jackson, one of the best D-League scorers in recent memory and a ton of fun to watch at this level, isn't already in the NBA. (At least until losing Holiday to a stress fracture in his right leg Friday, New Orleans simply hasn’t had the roster room.) Yet you can rest assured that Jackson will be in the big time eventually. And then you’ll see a small scorer in the mold of Nate Robinson or Earl Boykins -- realistically more Boykins than Robinson -- who’ll have to navigate the same challenges those two faced in terms of hooking on with the sort of team (and coach) that can live with his size and embrace his score-first mentality.
The Stampede may lose the league's best player, Lucky Pierre.
