Firsts off, I always thought Ronnie Price was a decent backup pt guard when he was here until he got injured. He was the first bench player to get double digits during that horrible bench year scoring 12 in GS...followed by Meyers getting his first double digit 12 later in the same game. Good character guy, decent defender when healthy. Now the question is are the Lakers turning into the TWolves with one guy who needs the ball all night and a bunch of role players..including an ex-Blazer?

IF ANY GOD DAMN THREAD DESERVED TO NOT BE MADE IT WAS THIS! This is why we have an "Around the NBA" thread FAMS! #UnRepIfICould

Now that really adds to the news of a former Blazer even though there's an OT in front of it. Sort of like the JJ Hickson, Greg Oden, etc threads...now HCP, if any post deserved to not be posted, it's the one you just left here but I wouldn't wish for anyone to be unrepped.

Ronnie price seemed like a good guy, but then he became a laker.

Like Steve Blake. Low character guys become Lakers. Gooey and yucky defectors.

Ronnie didn't defect though, he's just trying to play on every team in the league once. Gooey and yucky Lakers though must come from all the plasticine melted into the arena from the Capital of silicone implants.

I bet within 3 years the Lakers will have new owners. You know the Buss siblings are going to be fighting soon.

If the Clips were worth $2 billion I wonder what the Lakers are worth? $3 billion? $4 billion?

No meaning they are not the new version of the Wolves in the West? I think they have become that team that may not make the playoffs for quite a few years to come.

I think they're doing all of this with an intent at a run at Durant. Right now Kobe is broken, he won't be back and will be out of the league after his contract is done. Right now, its just stockpiling cheap talent and possible trade assets for when Durant enters FA.

Steve Nash is healthy now and may be the best true PG in the league this year.

Imagine if D'Antoni had had Steve but not Kobe last year. With the media onboard the Laker Buss, they would have gotten a couple of star FAs this summer.

Uhhh... umm...

We sign Steve Blake and Chris Kamen, are we the new Lakers?

I am a big Steve Nash fan. If he's healthy this year, he will reattain his former greatness. Yes, I not only predict that...I boldly invent a new word.

He's fun to watch. Too bad he's a Laker.

I'd rather think we're the "old Lakers" if it means ruling the western conference and having multiple championships over the next decade. The Lakers then become the neew TWolves missing the playoffs for the next 5 years

Wrong thread. Go to the bold prediction thread.

Actually, the LA Lakers are the "Old" Minneapolis (Minnesota) Lakers.
