OT: Lakers thus far ... 16 home games, 4 away

Not sure how many dicks at the league office Jeanne Buss had to suck to get this early season schedule, but I can't wait until the latter part of the season, when these guys will basically be living out of suitcases. Then I won't have to hear the pundits slobbering all over their jocks. Let's be honest ... who wouldn't dominate the schedule they've had?

You are aware the reason why they have a home-heavy schedule is because of all the other events that are going on at Staples this time of year, correct? I'm sure if they had a choice, they'd have played more than 4 roadies this year, that way they didn't have to play so many in the latter stages of the season. It'll even out here soon though, I believe 8 of our next 9 are roadies. And for what it's worth, I think the Lakers would still be where they're at record-wise. They're clearly the best team in the NBA right now and have blown out every opponent on this recent 10 game win streak with the exception of Miami.

Lakers usually have a heavy home schedule every season. Lakers had the best road record last season at 29-12 so I'm not worried about it. The key is going to be staying healthy and consistent bench play. This is a team with a purpose again this season and they don't have any chemistry issues.

Please, humor me. Why in the HELL would you want to play so many roadies down the stretch? Sure, it's nice to have all these home games early, but no one wants to be on the road at the end of the season in big games. No one. Beyond that, they're going to have a ton of long road trips because of this, again, something no one wants. If you really think it's a conspiracy and the Lakers want all these home games early, you're crazy.

And I really don't know what's going on at Staples since I'm in Iowa, that's just what I've heard from the news and I believe a few other Laker fans have mentioned it as well.

I was just making a little joke. I don't think it's a conspiracy at all. I'd rather struggle early and finish strong at home then the opposite, and have to deal with long road trips late in the season, when guys might start to wear down a bit.

I'm not hating, just saying the Lakers are a great team - home or away. They were 29-12 on the road last year, and they look even better this year.

I don't think even a healthy Blazer team would have gone through the first 20 games the Lakers played 17-3, but that' not hating on them.

I think what he meant is that the "other events" are STARTING now, and that's why the Lakers will be hitting the road (and played a large portion of their home games early)

Its odd that the Clippers have played twice as many road games as the Lakers.

They (the Clippers) have an 8 game road trip (at the same time as the Lakers also have an 8 gamer) and are coming up on a 6 game road trip (and the lakers are coming up on a 5 game trip).

The Lakers end the season with 8 home games and 14 road.

So it events out in the end (Lakers vs Clippers scheduling I mean)

You do know, when its all said and done, all schedules are very close to equal. The only teams that have harder schedules than others, are the ones that have lots of tough teams within their own division so they play them more often. If a team has an easy schedule to start, it gets tougher later. If they have a tough schedule to start, it gets easier later. Road trips are tough on all teams. Period.

Sagarin has their schedule as the second easiest in the league. Granted, ours is about the fourth easiest according to those ratings, but I'm not sure where you are getting the "third hardest schedule so far" garbage.

I've been harping about moving the Clips out, and the only destinations I could think of at the time (before ref scandal and all) were Seattle after they moved to OKC, and Las Vegas....now gambling and the ref thing has killed the Vegas idea.
