Lin was running third among Western Conference guards behind Bryant (639,419 votes) and Chris Paul (353,603) when the NBA released the first All-Star balloting update of the season on Thursday. Lin was a little more than 55,000 votes behind Paul as he tries to gain a starting spot for the Feb. 17 game in his home arena in Houston.

He's only 55,000 votes back. If he gets past Paul it will be hilarious.

Lets all start voting for lin. It would be hilarious if he made it over Paul.

If Lin gets in, Nate, it kills Lillard's chances. So I'm not okay with it.

Lillard won't make it anyway. He's a rookie on a crappy team. He's got no shot unless he starts putting up 40 point games.

I love Lillard and he is going to be an All-Star someday but he doesn't have a chance this year regardless.

I think MVP of the Rookie game is just fine.

I'm in.

(Lillard has no chance.)

and Houston has 1 more win than Portland.

But their record (Houstons) isn't why Lin and Harden will make it. They'll make it because of China and also because the NBA put the All Star game in Houston (again) and they want to have a fairy tale all star selection from Houston.

It would be pathetic if Lin made the ASG. He's having a shitty season.

Lin sure but Harden is playing well enough to make it on the team without Chinese ballot-stuffing.
