"I happen to think it's chickenshit to anonymously start threads like this one without any proof at all."

And I think it's a chickeshit to call someone else chickenshit anonymously. God it's SO dripping with irony.

Crap. I may have to take you off ignore just for the comedic value of your ridiculous holier-than-thou rants.

BNM

For the record, I agree with papag

it's pretty lame to insinuate that McRoberts might be on steriods when the only 'proof' is a friggin' blog post.

The NBA tests for this stuff almost constantly, even in the offseason. I'd be 99.9% sure he's not on steroids.

Side note...the assumption that the article is 100% accurate is pretty absurd. People around here shoot down the writings of certain writers sight unseen (Chad Ford, Jason Quick, etc) but this *blogger* that nobody has ever even HEARD of says something, and it's assumed to be true. He probably gained 20 lbs since the beginning of last season or something. Or 10 lbs in 3 months.

BTW...I'm pretty sure it takes a ton of hard work to make it to the NBA, so saying that McRoberts is 'unmotivated and lazy' is pretty silly.

What? That's simply not true. Prove it!!

See BNM, that's irony. ;)

Edited earlier post to clarify:
Now where there might be a point is if you're defining muscle as dried out tissue. In that case, hell no, he could not have possibly added more than 3 to 4 lbs of dry muscle tissue. However, if you count the water in the muscle, the glycogen stores in the muscle etc, the stuff that makes the muscle work, 20lbs in not unreasonable.

There is no reason to scoff at "water weight," no one has beef jerky for biceps...

This is what I was referring to. It's just not possible as you pointed out. When talking about adding muscle that's how I look at it. Just solid, pure muscle.

Everyone in this thread is arguing about things with no relevance. The most likely scenario with McRoberts is that hes been working out a lot, has gained 20 pounds, and he said that it was all muscle. It is probably not all pure muscle but I don't find it hard to believe that he's been working out. Maybe he realized he was being a lazy ass for all these years and wants to try to get better. I do think it is stupid to jump straight to question about steroids and to call him "McSteroids" but it's not a big deal.. it's an online forum, not that many people will see it, it's not like a newspaper article said it.. the would be ridiculous and would matter to McRoberts and a lot of other people. I don't understand why people feel the need to argue so feverishly about something so petty.
