Hey Rob, nice to be back. Got to bring Mom home from the hospital last Friday. Getting the transfusion really did the trick. The heavy doses of chemo and radiation almost killed her, took 23 days to stabilize the situation. Looks like it worked, she'll have the tumor removed from her colon next month. Already set things up with her doc, they will save the tissue, test for markers via next gen sequencing. And we can use the cancer tissue to design follow up chemo cocktails that are much more selective and safer.

Dad's lung cancer may be spreading, his chemo starting to become resistant. However there may be a sliver of silver lining. Original location was inoperable and biopsy too risky. The spread will give us a chance to get tissue for sequencing and culture. Then that tissue culture can be screened against a matrix of drugs.

I worry about you little brother.....so its good to hear from you. Prayers for both your Mom and Dad. I'm not overtly religious, raised a non-abused altar boy......born again......turned Protestant, ....... dropped all religion,
then to a Zen Monastery in 1989, and a Sangha Lifetime Member, then back again to my Catholicism, this time Anglican Catholicism, ya' know the Pope Is NOT infallible, but I still pray brother, boy do I still pray.......!!!

I'm thrilled tho' to hear your Mom is home and doing well. One has to have hope, I learned as much years ago, when I lost mine, hope that is. I do hope your Dad does well, tho' times sound toug((h for Him, God Bless both their souls. Obviously you've got 2 great Parents, I mean, ..... you turned out well, got a great job and education. Utterly Incredible, I've heard but a small bit about this new tech. A very good demo- thank You.

I gotta' go for another endoscopy come 2 weeks, ugghhh, intrusive man. I don't like the thought of anyone incl. a doc sticking anything up my butt.....LOL.... But, or Butt, its gotta' get done...

It's real nice to know this tech is available now... can make all the difference in the world. One day, cancer I hope, will be a very treatable problem, and the video seems to show it IS...!!! Outstanding.....!
