That was Rick's car, til she sat on it, he had to replace the axles, springs, shocks, radiator, head of the engine, engine mounts, tires, rims, as well as he hood. The doors are now tweaked and will not shut either, not now, what a babe, eh....NOT....LMAO.... :rotfl:

IN MODERN TIMES its know as "Cross Roads" but to us old timers, it's the title I mentioned by Robert Johnson way back in the 20s, tho' Clapton covers it and so have many others. Johnson wrote it, called it by the title aforementioned, yet Clapton dragged it out of the closet, called it crossroads, even has his festival named after it, so you can take your pick....the current title crossroads, or Johnson's original title.....

Led Zep even plagiarized Johnson's work,......

You cannot slide this one by me my friend, been listening to Clapton, since before you were a twinkle in your parents eyes......

I bought every single Clapton LP since the Yardbird days, and haven't stopped since. Classic. perhaps Clapton's best known re-make of Johnson's work.......

Class is dismissed.........

Clapton, heck I got a better version with Clapton and Jeff Beck doing Crossroads.....Cream was Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, but IMO, Cream was CLAPTON....his band, he put it all together, just a formality, yet honestly the correct answer is not necessarily Clapton. RJ wrote and recorded it a very long time ago, ya' want me to play it for ya'????????????

Ah yes but part of being a classic rock song is the version that made it a classic. All along the Watchtower was another example...I was looking for the Hendrix version. Sorry Rob, be I'm working off a radio charts list and record sales list. I get that some are covers, those are the tricks. But we appreciate the history lessons. Speaking of Cream, I'll take a Boston creme bar, lol!

BTW- I ran into Joan Jett and her band on Hollywood Blvd. the first few months she had just formed the band.....ahead of our times, got to drink a beer with them more than once, long prior to Joan or her band, getting noticed....long before, when the entire band was sharing a flat in Hollywood, and playing for peanuts and beer...barely making it......the Kaboom......Shazam.....(as Rick would say)

AH. I see where your coming from.....good point, now do you really want that Boston Crème Bar, or a Sidewalk Sundae....? I don't do Boston in any way, did do the band by the same name...and damn it, they wont' stop playing those f'krs tunes, which I'm burned out on.....

It's all good Tom....not a prob....I recall the Watchtower Q...1st answered Dylan the 1st version to be recorded, and written by Bob. But when I looked again and saw the key, "hey" at the end of Jimi's lyrics. I instantly realized you were looking for Hendrix's version, which was a helluva lot better than Dylans.....

Ah the days of Hendrix....If I said as much what I was doing in those days, I'd be dis-barred. Lose my TSAR and License.....

Business M-W, half day Th then down to Jersey to see my folks. Could be last time to see Dad, lung cancer taking its toll. Mom is scheduled for colon cancer surgery, we expect her to recover. So yeah a bittersweet trip.
