He must be suffering from dementia, if he thinks LA fans are avid and knowledgeable (at least, the majority of the loud ones at the games)
When a referee's parabolic career descends a little under NBA-quality, he should still be good for a few NCAA years, right?
The pay per game is still good for a ref with a rep, but with a lot fewer games. Why doesn't Bavetta try it? Which laid-off NBA refs then became reliable NCAA refs?
