OT: NBA shooting % felt higher than last season

2011-12

In this season so far; the highest EFF FG% is 52.7 and the lowest is 42%

2010-11

Last season; the highest was 52.6 and lowest 46.7

Why does it seem teams are shooting better? Is it flow, style or just interest watching the better teams? Maybe I'm taking crazy pills or something.
