Holy damn something is building up there in Corvallis.

Can't wait for the civil war.

Good for them. They'll see 3 or 4 loses this season, but I think will stay in the top 25.

The better they're ranked, the sweeter it will be when we knock them off in the Civil War.

And Sean Mannion is out for the year with a busted knee.

Darn

Mannion has a partial tear of the meniscus. He's having surgery tomorrow and should be out only a couple of weeks.

When was the last time both Oregon teams have been ranked this high at the same time?

Oregon State looked good tonight against BYU, I see them rising in the ranks

Oregon State could be in the top 5 by the Civil War.

Wow, you don't have much faith in them when backup QB Cody Vaz had a terrific game against BYU. Are you doubting that the Beavs aren't competitive? Wow, your mind is sure cloudy on the Beavers past 5 games so far.

In all fairness, he did post that before Vaz's performance in the BYU game.

Here's my thinking... (and please remember, OSU is my second favorite team- I hope they win every game they ever play except the civil war)

Last season they were 3-9 and were very young. This season they are still young and really don't have a lot of talented depth. Now I know Riley is one of the very best at coaching up kids, but still a team needs a certain level of overall talent to win so many games over a full season. So far they have played well and won a few close games that could have gone either way- but I don't see them doing this continually as teams without a lot of talent just lose a few as they get dinged up during the year. They still have UW, ASU, Stanford & UO. I see them losing 3 of those 4 as I think all those teams have more talent. And that's no shame at all. Now, maybe they only lose 2 of those and that's even better. I mean, I hope they win 3 of those 4, I really do. But it's just how I see it. And, I thought they'd lose to Wisconsin and they didn't... so they continue to surprise me.

Our stretch run is tough, but so is Oregon's tbh. I expect the Ducks to lose a couple before the end of the season and I expect one of those losses to be the Civil War.

I can understand thinking UO could lose a couple of games. But if so, one will not be to the Beavers.
