OT: Orlando making trades

Let me make it clear...I don't care that we missed out on Gortat or J-Rich or please...Arenas....the thing that bothers me is that teams are making moves and POR is twiddling there thumbs.......again.....

So, basically you're unhappy because Cho didn't make a move to acquire a player you don't want.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Teams like Orlando & Phoenix, who are playing better than POR are making moves to improve...

POR which is spinning out of control and NEEDS to make a move...is not....

I thought what I stated was pretty clear.....but apparently not....for some...

I just might go to the next game just to heckle Mr. Cho.

So knowing Brandon will never be the same. would or could you put Joel, Luke and Brandon together and send them to Washington for Rashard. Rashard is 31, but if he were to get to Portland, he would go back to his natural position, which is small forward. I believe if I am correct Orlando was using him primarily as a PF.

Just a thought.

Never been a big Rashard fan so no, I wouldn't.

How are you Lake? Hear any good Blazer rumors yet?

Hello Sly, not hearing anything exciting. A couple of weeks ago was hearing about interest in Thompson and Whiteside from Sacramento. But other than that not much. I have liked watching the last few games. I like the hustle and teamwork going on. They were a little tired tonight, but overall the flow seems so much more fluid that when Roy is in there.

Makes me wonder if Orlando is completely done making deals.

Yep it kind of leaves Reddick out in limbo, unless they plan on running him next to Gilbert. It also kind of leaves them a bit smaller.

Man, the Suns made nearly the exact deal I would have liked Portland to have made with Orlando.

Unfortunately, the Suns had better pieces to offer so Portland never even had a chance to get it done.

In fact, now that Portland has waited long enough for 3 out of their 4 most valuable trade pieces to get hurt they are probably not going to be able to make a deal in time to make any sort of playoff run.

It pisses me off that Cho hasn't made a move but when another team offers better pieces what the fuck can Cho do?

Fuck man, I am just completely frustrated by right now.

The only silver lining has been how the team has played the last 2 games.
They may not be world beaters but they are entertaining.

I wonder if it will continue once Roy comes back (if he actually does).

What I was trying to point out is that none of the players involved in the trade that took place on Saturday were pieces that would necessarily improve the Blazers significantly. Making a trade just to make a trade is a waste of time and assets. If you make a deal like that, it may very well preclude you being able to make a better deal closer to the deadline when teams that are out of the hunt entirely may be looking to clear cap space by moving players who would actually make Portland better. I'm in favor of Cho making a move, but I want it to be the right move, not just one to please the noise generated by the likes of Canzano and messageboard fans.

Repped.

I guess what is not clear is how was Phoenix playing better than Portland? We beat them twice in a week. Orlando was forced to re-tool because they were stupid enough screw with the chemistry that got them to the NBA finals, and now they want Turk back. Vince was a mistake. And now the Suns have him. He will play well for Phoenix off and on this year and then they will not resign him when they learn what he is all about. The trade was not that bad for either team, but I can't say "wow I wish we made that move".

At this point, Jason Richardson would be an upgrade over Roy. Would it have a profound impact on the W-L record? Maybe not...but the team would be more fun to watch. (and it might slow the bleeding of fan support)

There is also a good chance that it could make fan support worse. Lot of BROY fans out there that don't express themselves on bitch boards and radio squak shows. I wonder why Goldenstate, Charlotte and Phoenix gave up on Richardson. He played well for two of the three. The last two teams gave up on him quickly.

But do u think phoenix would trade Richardson to a team they are competing against for a playoff spot?
