After the Blazers are eliminated, I have to figure out who to root for and if that team is eliminated, who do I root for then. Here's how I rank the remaining teams in terms of who I want to win:

1. Suns
2. Cavaliers
3. Jazz
4. Hawks
5. Celtics
6. Magic
7. Lakers

For the rest of the playoffs, I will root for the higher team on this list. What is your list?

This is a really ugly question for me.

I don't really care enough about any EC team to actively root for them.

Lakers? Don't think so.

Suns? Just eliminated the Blazers.....they can sit on a cactus and twirl.

Jazz? At least I respect Sloan, so for the brief time they are left, I will root for them.

1. Magic (like Dwight, Jameer, Pietrus, Barnes, Williams, Reddick)
2. Hawks (like Horford, Johnson, Bibby, Crawford, Wiliams, Teague, indifferent about Smith)
3. Suns (like Nash, Hill, Dudley, Frye's personality off-court)
4. Jazz (Like Millsap and Williams, why is Fesenko, Miles and Matthews 60% of their starting lineup?)
5. Lakers (hate Pau's ugly face, Derek Fisher, Sasha (does he play anymore?))
6. Cavaliers (hate LeBron, Shaq, Varejao, coach)
7. Celtics (hate KG, Sheed, Pierce, Big Baby, Allen to a degree, like Rondo)

out of the West honestly the Lakers are my least annoyed with. Suns maybe before Amare was a punk. I would like to See Orlando win though.

but to answer the question...

1) ORL
2) ATL
3) LAL
4) PHO
5) SAS
6) CLE
7) BOS

Anyone but the L*kers.

Garnett is a dick too so Fuck Boston.

after that I could really care less.

I've been rooting for the suns since they ousted us--really fun team to watch.

1) Suns
2) Magic
3) Atlanta
4) Utah
5) Lakers
6) Cavaliers (So tired of Lebron this Lebron that. He will go down as one of if not the best player ever, but now that we got that out of our systems can we stop sucking his %&$# over every little thing he does)
7) Boston (I want to throw KG/Pierce/Big baby under a bus)

This Suns team has kind of grown on me, they play together, they play hard and they're fun to watch. Other than that I guess I can kind of root for the Magic; any team that would hire Ron Jeremy to coach their basketball team is OK in my book.

1. Phoenix (only Amre can actively be disliked on that team, and you've got to love Nash, Frye, Dudley, Amundsen (a PHL major, I am reliably informed), Hill, Lopez and Dragic)
2. Boston (mainly to piss off LA fans, but also because of Rondo's awesomeness)
3. Utah (because of Deron Williams' awesomeness)
4. Cavs (so Shaq gets to ask Kobe about his ass's flavorfulness again)
5. Hawks (I don't really care about them, to be honest. Does anybody?)
6. Orlando (I really didn't want them to win last time, but I find I don't care much this time)
...
infinity. Lakers

It's tough. There are a lot of teams I actively dislike - Jazz, Magic, Celtics, and of course Lakers.

I'd have easily rooted for the Suns, since they've never won and I really like Steve Nash when he's not playing the Blazers, had it not been for SB1070. OTOH, their "Los Suns" statement does warm me to them. I just don't want a celebration in Arizona.

Hawks I'm neutral, but they get so little fan support they have to give away playoff tickets. Does that city deserve a title? Not that they are likely to get one.

Cleveland is another team that never wins. But I too am sick of the LeBron worship (get used to it, we're going to have it a long time). At least a Cavs win will keep James in Cleveland and not move him to highest bidder or (gasp) the Lakers.

BTW, rastapopolous, what is PHL? As in a PHL major?

Orlando and Phoenix are my two favorite teams left. I just love watching Steve Nash.

And Amare and Howard are surrogates for how I like to think Oden will be in a few years. Amare's offense, Howard's defense and rebounding. Yeah, I'm probably setting myself up for more heartbreak, but oh well.

1. LA Lakers
2. Cleveland Cavaliers
3. Orlando Magic
4. Boston Celtics
5. Phoenix Suns
6. Atlanta Hawks
7. Utah Jazz

I really enjoy watching highly-talented teams and players. LeBron James is easily the best player, so the Cavs rank quite high, but there isn't much compelling about them beyond James. The Lakers have a talented trio in Kobe, Gasol and Bynum and a great coach.

I've never really warmed to the Jazz, even when they had great players. Not sure why.

I only watch Blazers games and don't give a rat's ass about any other teams, or the NBA overall.

Since I honestly view the league as one that pre-determines who wins and who loses when it matters, it would be hypocritical and a waste of my time to "root" for someone.

If the league was legit, and results were actually determined by the actions of coaches and players, I'd expect Sloan's Jazz to deservedly win their 3rd or 4th title this year.

Always had you pegged as a Laker-lover.

Considering I've always noted that Kobe Bryant is one of my favourite players and that I generally enjoy watching talented players/teams, I'm not sure it took keen insight to realize that I enjoy watching the Lakers. ;)

If you believe the winners are predetermined, why do you watch the Blazers games?

I don't think I'll root for any team. I'll watch the games, but unencumbered by vested interest in anything but seeing a memorable game.

I can't even get the energy to hate the Lakers nowadays. They're simply not relevant (or more relevant) to my experience as a Blazers fan than the other teams left.

Ed O.

I was sick enough of basketball yesterday to say oh hell with it, I'm going back to watching the A's.

And Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game.
