OT OT: Rockets in free fall, Pistons on 4 game win streak since Josh Smith was waived

Rockets tumble to 5th in West and only a half game ahead of 6th.
 
um, the Blazers are 1-4 in their last 5 games, and now lead the Thunder by 8 games. Let's not get too cocky here.

And yet we are still 2nd in the West, 3rd best in the entire NBA despite the most injuries of any team in the Western Conference.

Lol you are funny man. Last time we talked you were bragging about how the Blazers were 3 games ahead of the Rockets. They are now 2 games ahead of the Rockets. Rockets were swept by the Warriors, fair enough. Meanwhile other than the Clippers and Warriors they have a winning record against every other western conference team. Free fall? They have been in the same spot all year and meanwhile you guys have dropped back down towards the rest of the 3-6 seed pack.

You should listen to your fellow Blazer fan there, probably not a good idea to get cocky. Portland is 5-5 in the past 10 games and Rockets are 6-4, not sure why you are even that worried about us.

Now 3rd, not so sure why you are worried about the Rockets right now. Seeds 2-6 are all within 2 games of each other, doesn't make sense bragging about standings...

Rockets have now dropped to a season low 6th place in the West. Tumbling, tumbling, tumbling.
 
And Superbeard- we've had way more injuries than Rockets and we are three seeds better than you guys. Suck it.

To be fair, they are mostly back from their injuries... ours are not even going to be back until after the break. That's not a fair assessment.

We are hopefully done with our injuries. We've had our center hurt, pg hurt, most of our bench. For a good chunk of the first part of our season. We still have Jones hurt who is a potential double double 20 point guy any given night hurt too, who was our starting PF.We were starting a Dleague level center for a while there and starting Jason Terry too with a dleague PG backing him up. Playing guys like Garcia extensive minutes and having to roll with Tarick Black/Dorsey as our center combo for too long. I'll admit with this recent string of injuries you guys have had it worse. Still though, injuries are injuries and your record will be what it will be. We both should be well aware of that with the Yao/Tmac years and the Roy years for you guys, no one looks back and go "Oh, if only that team had so and so healthy for that stretch..."

You are right though, 3 seeds better but still it's actually a one game lead. So I really don't get all the bragging about it. Hey, the good thing is maybe we see each other in the first round again now :P

Ya know, I kind of blame this thread and now it's going to be a bitch seeing if the Rockets can pass us in the standings. They are only 1.5 games back.
 
This thread is on point. Pistons are hot. Rockets are in freefall. I see them losing to Suns tonight. They will soon fall to 7th or 8th or out of playoffs altogether.

You blame this thread for what? That Josh Smith sucks less coming off the bench than starting, or that the healthy Rockets have gained 1.5 games on the Blazers who have been missing 40% of their starting line up?

Not at all. We've lost 6 of 8 and we're STILL ahead off the bumbling Rockets because we are a division leader. We've also had way more injuries than the Rockets. Our whole starting lineup is hurt.

With the Rockets being 7-3 in their last 10 and Blazers 4-6, I hope we continue this freefall as you call it.
