Have you ever torn your ACL? Speaking from personal experience I know it can take a helluva long time to get back to a full range of motion, strength and confidence in the injured knee - sometimes up to a year and half. In the meantime, he's not really risking injury playing on it, he just looks like shit until he's fully regained whatever he's lost ... and hell, he may never get back to place where he can hang athletically in the NBA.

Yes, and my MCL. Both in my left knee. And you don't go back to a full level to play without it being fully cleared w/out swelling. Either they didn't fix it right and it's still wrong, or he's swelling up and nobody is doing anything about it other than giving him some anti-inflammatories. I also have a huge scar on my right knee from cracking my patella on a rock while skiing.

I suppose. Or maybe the ACL repair permanently robbed him of some fraction of his athleticism and whatever he lost was the difference between him being able to hang in the league (sorta) and not? Who knows.

I happen to think the guy lost a guy summer to his development both in terms of hitting the gym and being able to play during the summer, and that his time may have already passed unless he puts in a lot of work to become even a bad shooter, instead of the terrible one he is right now. He isn't explosive. His best asset is that he sees the floor very well, but without the athleticism to consistently beat his defender, the vision isn't as much as an asset as it should be.

Or maybe he was never good

HCP needs to provide that layup in the 1st quarter from Rubio that nearly broke the backboard.

It's bad when Ronnie price is out playing u.

Seriously, we have the worst bench in NBA history and our back-up PG is still better than Ricky Rubio.

Bricky scored 9 points in 36:33 on 3-13 shooting last night, and allowed Parker to go off for 31 - and it was actually one of Rubio's better games.

But hey, he's a game changer that sells tickets, makes his teammates better and will lead Minnesota to 50 wins. There's still a chance. They only have to go 32-4 over the rest of the season to get to 50 wins.

BNM

they actually DO have a shot at 30 wins, something they havent done since 06/07

right now they are on pace for 32 wins, so good luck you little scamps! you can do it!!

So I see you are the Skip Bayless of the forum. Making outlandish statements just to get attention

Oh and I suppose we should put all of Parker's 31 on Rubio.

Great timing btw, after Rubio outplayed Lillard in the last game.

You know Portland is still the 9th team, right? And I'd rather finish closer to the bottom than closer to the 8th seed. One more draft pick and make a run when they don't have the worst luck of injuries in one season.

yes, kahn is amazing at the draft, i bet you cant wait

although i AM eager to hear all of you rubes come up with excuses why you dont win 30 games NEXT year either

Troubles with staying on topic?

Dude, you guys had fans coming on this board, claiming that the T-Pups would win 50 games this year.

There's a big difference between the Blazers and T-Pups: You guys went into the season with (according to the opinions of your fans and some analysts) with a deep roster and were going to challenege for a playoff spot. Portland is supposedly in a rebuilding year, and most figured we'd be hard-pressed to win 25 games. Yet, we're better than the T-Pups. Add in whatever we can accomplish through the draft and using some cap space this summer to deepen the bench.....

And I'd say our future is still brighter than the T-Pups!

Blazers 3, T-Pups 0.

Adjusted +/- Lillard is top-3 in the NBA. He was #1 for a good chunk, too.

Rubio ranks deadlast.

Did this Wolves person just say that Rubio OUTPLAYED Dame?

Even with 10+APG in the last two he still has a negative +/- and shooting an abysmal FG%.

So we just ignore the context of the season? Just ignore the injuries?

Rubio 15 PTS 4/9 Shooting 14 Assists 2 rebounds 1 stl 4 to's +9

Lillard 21 PTS 9/17 Shooting 6 Assissts 4 Rebounds 3 stl 5 TO - 8

Yes, he outplayed Lillard.

I forgot to mention that Lillard had two turnovers down the stretch.
