Without Russell holding him back, Durant will shine. Too bad they don't still have Harden; they could have lucked into the right combo by accident.
I bet they regret trading Maynor and Harden now...
Didn't see what happened! Fucking TNT down here doesn't show basketball..... Just fucking Law and Order back to back to back in Spanish!!!!!!
Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
He was going for the ball. Hardly looks like he was intentionally trying to take out his knee.

Dirty?
All players get injured, it just happens but I am beginning to wonder if those more explosive and athletics players like Rose and Westbrook just seem to be in more situations that risk these injuries. Just a thought. It also makes me wonder if the knock that Lillard isnt explosive like those other two might actually be a good thing ...
Should have been a foul at the very least. Westbrook had already asked for time out. You can see him pointing at the ref.
Dirty play, IMO. Not that Beverley was trying to injure him, but it was an unnecessary play, and something that is typically considered bush league.
This injury had nothing to do with an at-risk position, though, and everything to do with Beverley diving across the body after timeout had already been called. It was about the least athletic contact injury you'll see.
I've never heard this at all. The defender almost always goes for the steal in that situation..
Agreed, you see guys reach in like that often. And, occasionally, you see a guy fake the timeout and score, which is why it's smart to play through the whistle on it.
Jason Kidd did that to us a few years back... walked it right to the hoop for an easy two.
I was watching the game and I don't remember the announcers saying or myself thinking that the foul was dirty at the time. And they replayed it a few time then as well. I think this clip (without sound) may be misleading.
Didn't Andre Miller do it a few times as well? I think one led to a victory for us late in the game.
Dirty? No. Reckless? Yes.The play that supposedly caused this:

Dirty?
No, it hadn't, watch the ref. He doesn't blow the whistle until after he (Beverly) has already committed to the lunge...But the timeout had already been whistled when he lunged.
The play wasn't dirty, he went for the ball as the whistle was being blown. He didn't lunge after it they were happening at the same time. If anyone is to blame its westbrook as much as its beverlys. Beverly tries to make a momentum play and catch Westbrook off guard, when Westbrook realizes what is happening instead of just stopping and holding the ball for the timeout he tries to do a fancy spin move.

What was Durant's response last year when it was pointed out that the refs blew a game ending call against us? I can't remember his exact words, but I wish I did so I could repeat them right now.

Time out was called, but not yet whistled. You can see Westbrook point at the ref and ask for a TO prior to Beverley fouling him. Durant was already walking to the bench.
Bush league, and a silly way to injure an opponent. I do like Beverley's aggressiveness, though.
I don't see at all how it's a dirty play. If he doesn't make contact with him, is it still dirty?
Absolutely. Standard practice to go for the ball when the guy is going for the timeout.I've never heard this at all. The defender almost always goes for the steal in that situation..
Nice. I believe the words were... *ahem*
"Tough shit."
