If Shaq didn't think it was wrong, then why is his photo on Instagram deleted?

I didn't think it was wrong one day when I tried to cook some rice on high, when it boiled over I realized it was too high and turned it down.

Fuck off for calling me a racist. No idea where that came from.

Making fun of someone with a jacked up grill who you don't know, and when you have hundreds of thousands of followers to your page, is still a horrible thing to do to someone.
No shit. But, you can finally admit there is a difference. If you could just admit it instead of being defensive and resorting to childish comments you would never gotten them in return.

Not saying it's right, but making fun of some one with a disability is substantially worse.

I guess shaq didn't have the same sensitivity class I had in grade school. There was a disability awareness day where all the students had to spend the day seeing how difficult it is living with a handicap. Some kids had to wear eye masks, some kids wore earplugs, some kids had certain body parts restricted to simulate an amputation. My life was different after that day of school, I probably learned more in that one day than I had the 8 years leading to it.

You said I use racist words like "chief," which I still thought cops and former cops aspired to be someday. Which childish words did I call you?

Shaq deleted the photo, and the last thing the NBA needs is having one of its greatest players mocking a fellow black guy, who is also disfigured, right now since Donald Sterling is the story. Remember, the NBA is superduper tolerant of everyone.

You need some Ginko or something? When did I say I was a cop?

I sincerely think that the color of this mans skin has absolutely nothing to do with the situation. The sooner we stop looking at race as a variable the sooner we bridge the separation between ethnicities, and the closer we come to togetherness.

And to call this man disfigured is extremely insensitive as it implies that there is something off putting, or wrong about him.

Not looking for an argument, just giving my opinion...

I get the feeling you were among the thousands of people mocking this man, too.
Your whole tone is childish, this one is just an example. You got a hard on because Shaq, someone we all pretty much hate did something stupid. My first response was simply DUMBASS. Then I thought about it a bit and figured even Shaq might not even be that big of a douche.

I don't hate shaq, I actually find a lot of his antics to be funny. And have tremendous respect for his body of work(on the court). But he is definitely over impulsive and often times immature, which leads to insensitivity such as this.

Now it is bad because he is black too? Holy fuck you will latch on to the dumbest shit just to defend some poorly considered position.

Poorly worded. Shaq seems decent enough, not Mother Theresa by any stretch. I meant hate as in memories of him butt bumping Sabonis away and dunking on everyone.

Oh of course, every fan of, or player on the opposing team hated him. Dude was a beast on the block, easily the best big man I have seen first handed.

See, that was your mistake. Shaq IS that big of a douche, and now he's commenting on slavery, Mark Cuban, and Donald Sterling. Not a word on TNT about his photo earlier today.

Police Chief. Fire Chief. Chief Petty Officer. Chief Operating Officer. Chief is not a racist term. WTF? Has the whole world gone mad???

Using the term Chief in the way it was used has absolutely no connection to Native Americans whatsoever. It stems from communicating with superiors in a line of Work, such as BBert mentioned Police Chief, Fire Chief...etc... it is the respectful way of addressing a Chief in the line of work. It is also used sarcastically or as a replacement as for other terms such as Man and Dude.

Fuq Shaq. Shattered my fandom when he signed with the Urine and Lilac.

This. The word chief dates back before the colonization of America. The reference to Native American leaders as "chiefs" is a manifestation of Americans own doing. "Chief" has no more relation to native Americans as it does any other cultural group.

Ironic that a thread about Shaq mocking a black guy would turn into a white guy calling another white guy a racist for using the word "Chief," which apparently was an indirect insult to santeesioux, who I believe is the only Native American poster on this board. That's some fantastic message boarding, right there.

The guys color has nothing to do with this...why is that so hard for you to understand?

Oh, but it potentially does. Anyhow, I don't care, other than Shaq's typical douchebaggery.

Shaq, a gigantic "role model" mocking a victim for his disease is the perfect partner for Chuck, a married father arrested for buying blowjobs from a hooker on the corner.

Any way you read it, Chief is a flattering term of ultimate respect.

Next time I see Shaq, I'm gonna kick his ass.

Maybe its just me but I think it's a good look for shaq, I think everyone is mistaking inspiration for bullying.
