Saw an article today about two male participants of a 2007 Connecticut home invasion robbery had their death sentences commuted to life imprisonment. Apparently the State of Connecticut found Death by Execution "cruel and unusual punishment. The two home invasion participants robbed, raped, then doused their female victims with gas setting them afire. Worse part was that the town police were aware of the situation but failed to respond in a timely manner. Both were caught, convicted, and sentenced to death. I'd say they way they took their victims out leaves no choice but to kill those assholes but I'd sure think of a more violent method to do so. I've heard people say that the state has no right to take lives, I say that those who commit violent crimes have forfeited their lives by their actions toward other human beings.
