That night, Bryant won't be the first current NBA player to wear a low. Washington forward Gilbert Arenas is a longtime proponent of the low-top, and Nike made a lower-type cut for Phoenix guard Steve Nash last year.

This is from an ESPN. I wrote the douche bag an email because I am bored.

So you call yourself a senior writer for ESPN? Is that a joke? You wrote in your article the following.

"Washington forward Gilbert Arenas is a longtime proponent of the low-top, and Nike made a lower-type cut for Phoenix guard Steve Nash last year."

Since when was Gilbert Arenas a forward? You call yourself a senior writer and you think Gil is a forward? You writers these days are so terrible and so lazy it makes me sick. So is Kobe playing Center for the Minneapolis Lakers too? Idiot.

I bet they have to write a couple of articles per day. It must have slipped. Maybe he assumed that Gil would come back in out of shape and thus be a 6'4" forward like Charlie Bell was once listed as (when he started at SF) for the Bucks.

That's kind of nitpicky, although I do understand why it should be avoided. Most articles don't have errors like that.

I mean come on. This is Gil we are talking about. Not some pine rider. Gil is a superstar and well known in the league. A "Senior" writer should not make mistakes like this. Every 12 year old who is a basketball fan knows that Gil is a guard.

Maybe it's because I just graduated from U of O with a journalism degree and have dabbled in sports journalism, but give the guy a break. You've never overlooked something at work before? While it may seem like a completely obvious mistake, that's what is was, a MISTAKE! Calling him a douche bag simply makes you look like like an asshole.

I think BatumKaboon needs to take a break from the internet for awhile.. until game time tonight for another Blazer Bash fest.

I am not being sarcastic here, I have an honest question:

Don't senior writers at ESPN have proofreaders? Did that go out the window now that spellcheckers are prevalent?

What about when you wrote, did you use proofreaders?
