OT: that Lin dude is crazy!

just lit up the lakers for 38 in a win - amazing what confidence does!

I love the Jeremy Lin story, but hate that he's doing it for the Knicks. Still, it is a great story, especially the way he lit up the Lakers last night after Kobe's disrespectful comments. But, I'd like to see more than 4 games before I anoint him the next "great one". As disrespectful as Kobe's comments were, they point out the fact that teams haven't been scouting or preparing for Jeremy Lin. Once they do, it will be interesting to see how he responds. Remember, Sergio looked good for about two weeks until he had that breakout game against Denver. Teams started scouting him, exploiting his weaknesses and it became painfully obvious he just wasn't an NBA level talent. I doubt if Lin will totally fall off a cliff like Sergio did, but I don't expect to see him sustaining anything close to his current level of production once opposing defenses figure him out.

Still a nice story and you can't help but root for the kid.

And what's what I'm thinking.... he doesn't seem to have much of an outside shot, and teams will quickly take away his ability to drive.

Very true. Hopefully, he can develop an outside shot. Sergio never did and it was one of the big reasons he's no longer in the NBA (that, and no defense and tons of turnovers).

You better believe Kobe Bryant knows who Jeremy Lin is now. But Kobe will have to wait until next year to get another crack at him.

Unless, of course, Lin can lead the Knicks to the finals and they meet the Lakers there. Of course, if he did that, he WOULD deserve the MVP.

Gramps...

Once defenses figure him out he'll be adding Amare and Carmelo to the mix. He won't be the main option and guys like Gasol/Bynum won't be going up top to double him.

The way he puts the ball on the floor and kicks to the open man. I don't think thats something defenses are just going to find a way to stop. He's not going to put up the ridiculous numbers he is right now. But, he's a damn good ball player. Great ball handler, can finish with his right or left and has a good jump shot. I think he's going to look damn good when Amare comes back.

And seems like he's a very humble guy too!

I guess you weren't watching last night. He was hitting his jumper all night long.

Jermery Lin = Basketball version of Tim Tebow.

Can't wait to see pictures of him on toast!

He did it again. Game tying drive and 1. Then drilled a three to win. To Linfinity and Beyond!

Happy VaLintines Day!

Did anyone catch the people with the NBA2K13 cover featuring Jeremy Lin? Hilarious.

The thing about watching Lin play is that a half hour later I want to watch him play again.

Just saw that Lin was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Well deserved.

this is really something pretty amazing :) 27pts 11ast (8to...) but hit the gamewinner too - what can ya say ?!? :)

The legend continues...

There is no way he can sustain what he's doing right now, but I do hope he ends up with a long, productive career and doesn't end up being a Bob Hurricane Hazle type flash in the pan (google it; I'm really dating myself, but I had his baseball card when I was a kid).

Unfortunately he is not on the rookie/sophomore game roster! Hope they change that up!

Haven't looked back through the thread, but did anyone by chance hear the Mike and Mike song about Lin? Linsane in the membrane? Outstanding

doing it again. 9 assists and 1 turnover in the first half. SAC has been trapping him and he's making the smart pass.
