Man I love fantasy basketball.

I have a great 10-person league that I have been the commissioner of for a dozen years now. But I haven't won the championship since 2007 - so I am hoping that my team is like the Spurs and we win it again this year!

The league is in Yahoo, had-to-head. We like that a lot better than roto.

This year, guys on my radar are

Andre Drummond
Chris Bosh
The splash brothers
I always also like drafting Zach Randolph because he is a double-double machine that I can nab in, like, the 8th round.

This year, I won't go near

Love
Deron Williams or D Rose or D Wade
Or any San Antonio Spur

What about you guys? Thoughts about fantasy hoops this year?

Just looked at ESPN's projection rankings. They have Thomas, Dragic, and Bledsoe ranked 19, 20, & 22 respectively (7, 8 & 10 among guards). Crazy that they expect all three Phoenix guards to be that productive. Similarly, they have Eric Gordon all the way down at 40th among guards; I can only assume that's based on injury history. IF he's healthy, he's going to be much better than that.

This was my roster last year and I won my league by a wide margin. Picking Duncan in later round was awesome.

Jimmy Butler
Stephen Curry
Andre Drummond
Tim Duncan
Gordon Hayward
Roy Hibbert
Jarrett Jack
DeAndre Jordan
Damian Lillard
Robin Lopez
Victor Oladipo
Ramon Sessions
Klay Thompson

I always try to draft players that can play multiple positions because you can play more players each day that way

I think Kevin Love should be on everyone's fantasy radar if they are really playing to win.

His TRB numbers and AST probably go up but most if all his other numbers probably go down. Most likely averages out across the board to be equal compared to other years though so I mostly agree.

In the same league for many years, would like to be in 2 this year.

Been doing yahoo with some people from the espn boards for a few years now, hopefully they do it again. Last year was the closest I got to winning but I lost in the championship. I think Maris was actually the person who won it?

I'd be down to do a free league with people on this board of anyone is interested.

I might do it.

I'v been in a 12 person ESPN league for about 5 years. Won it once, top 4 twice. We play head to head each week and our categories are FG %, FT%, FTM,3s, A,R,B,S,DD,TD, Points.
I'm picking 12 so I get 12/13th pick and i'v been trying to figure out who to target and the main guy i'm hoping to fall to me is Hardin but I doubt he makes it. Cousins/Melo/LMA/Bosh/Griffin/Davis i'll be taking whichever 2 of those 6 are there if Hardin is gone.
Haven't done a ton of research yet but A few guys I'v got my eye on Iggy/Affalo/Drummond/Randle/Rubio.
Guys I wont' touch early are Irving/Rose/DWill/Ilbaka/Love

I started the RipCityTwo Yahoo Fantasy Basketball League last year. JT, hoojackers, Caravan, Mop N. Glo, Nate4Prez, Prunetag, Haak, and VanillaGorrila were in it from the Forum. I just renewed the league for this year and we can move it to a 12 team league and would have at least 2 openings at this point (possibly more if others from last year don't rejoin). So if there is interest then let me know.

i hate to say this but im going for anthony davis...then dame in the second round. thats my ideal situation

I've been wanting to find a keeper league, not sure I want to juggle 3 teams though.

Does the league usually fill up late? 6 players is a fairly small league, 10 is a much better number.

There are 6 who played last year that haven't renewed yet. They are Nate4Prez, BlazerCaravan, VanillaGorilla, hoojackers, Prunetang, and JT's Fine Team. I will give them a few more days to get joined up before I remove them and allow others to join instead.

So if any of those I listed are reading this I need to know if you are in or out this year.

P.S. Mod's can we "tag" people? I know I can PM them but just curious on if we can tag someone so they get a notification to read this thread.

https://www.fanduel.com/?invitedby=cmeese47&cnl=da if you guys are interested in playing for money please use promo code draft1 when making a deposit to get matching funds up to $200.

You can run weekly leagues between 2 and 55000 players so no matter how many of you want to play we can set up a Sportstwo weekly game we could also invite other chat rooms and message boards to join and take their money.

I don't suppose you would be willing to increase the draft pick time to 1 minute 30, would you?

I'll have to let the computer draft for me. Previous engagement Wednesday night.

I compromised and went to 1 minute, 15 seconds.

Awesome thanks. They added a new draft format this year so I figure it might help out. Don't have to use it, but its nice to have that extra :15

There is another league ran by ESPN Hof'er which looks like it needs one person. If anyone wants to join, let me know.

Just a reminder for those in the Yahoo RipCityTwo Fantasy Basketball League: Draft is tonight at 7:30 PM Pacific.

I tried to be in a basketball sim league, but they kicked me out cause of my cancer. I wasn't happy, but it was probably a good move for them.
