Anyone noticing that Kerr is actually doing a great job rebuilding that franchise?

Rich Bucher is saying the Stoudemire to Golden State is nearly done.

Kerr has brought in an infusion of young, talented players.

#Stephen Curry - Rick Bucher, via twitter, thinks he's going to PHX in the Amare deal.
#Andris Biedrins - 12 PPG 11 RPG and only 22 years old.
#Brandan Wright - potential
#Tyson Chandler - rumored to be traded for Ben Wallace's exp. contract.
#Earl Clark - athletic 6'10" player with top-5 (draft) talent.
#Marco Belinelli - decent bench player.

They are going to suck for a while but this group has potential to be very good down the road.

That Stoudemire trade would be insane. And the thing is, you can't even complain about it from the Warriors' point of view because they don't give up Ellis or Randolph.

The only thing is, Phoenix now has a TON of young skinny big men:
Earl Clark
Brandan Wright
Biedrins
Chandler (if it happens)
Robin Lopez

But what happens with Nash? He could have fun with all these guys, but he won't win much.

If Curry is included in the deal.. then its not as much of a fleece as I thought originally. If no #7 pick.. then its a fleece.

It is not a fleece until we see how Amare recovers from his eye issues...

So they have Chandler, biedrins, adn Wright, so they have no offense in their frontcourt, except for lobs. Not really scared about that. Clark is intriguing. They don't have their pick next year so if they suck this year, they don't even get to add another good young player in a deep draft. Nash could stick around and have fun, but he'll essentially have to carry the scoring load, which, at his age is asking an awful lot. Or Richardson is going to average 28 a night. I like the hustle and rebounding out of Biedrins and Chandler(If they add him), but they would still have no offense from that spot. Thorw Lopez in the mix, and again, same thing. 4 PF/Cs with little offense, and small frames. We'll see whether Curry goes there or not. I dunno, I just don't like that team at all. And unless they find a taker for Richardson, they're still over or close to the cap.

No offense in their front court screams Travis.

You know who would be a really good coach for that team? Mike D'Antoni. :sigh:

It'll be nice not to have to worry about Phoenix for 2-3 years.

plus whatever they get for Nash....

I don't think Kerr ever meant to be a rebuilding phase, actually. It just turned out that way because he tore that team apart.

They played fast, exciting, and most importantly winning basketball. You can argue about playoff success but one less controversial suspension and we'd all be singing a different tune and teams would be building their teams like the Suns as opposed to the traditional half-court set up.

Bayless, Ruffin (TE) and a 2nd round pick.

Portland is left with:

Nash/Blake/Mills

This is VERY SOLID for the next couple of years! Mills reminds me a little of Tony Parker. Nash/Blake bring something similar - something steady. Made for the playoffs.

Spend the FA money on Wallace or Jaimison! Bring in a stud. Use Travis in this deal.

Nice bunch of role players. Now all they need is 2-3 stars to go with them.

I was actually thinking the opposite about the Suns, that their team is being totally blown up and they're in for a long re-build.
I don't see anything on that list get excited about. The Washington Wizards have more talent that what is listed there. They are going to be near the worst team in the league for a few years, especially if they lose Nash and Hill this off-season.

Update from ESPN Insider today:

UPDATE: Amare to Warriors back on?
Amare Stoudemire | Suns
Sources have told Ric Bucher that the much-discussed trade between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns for Amare Soudemire may be heating up once again. As tweeted by Bucher: "Sources are mixed on if Amare-to-GS still happens. My hunch is yes because Nelly wants him and Phx wants to move on." Earlier reports from the San Jose Mercury News Tuesday that Stoudemire had now interest in joining the Warriors or signing an extension with the team.
