Apparently Tim Duncan's wife is claiming he's bisexual and has a boyfriend on the side for years (as part of their divorce). As somebody on Twitter quipped: glad that Tim Duncan is breaking the stereotype that the only gay NBA players are the mediocre ones...

I tend to never believe ridiculous rumors about celebrities or sports players when it comes from divorce proceedings.

What with this and Tony Parker's dalliance with Brent Barry's wife - whoever said the Spurs were boring?

Let's see Shaq run with nicknaming this one...

Roberto Alomar's ex-wife claimed he gave her AIDS. When Alomar's lawyer insisted that she get tested and see the results she refused. Jilted ex-lovers will say crazy things.

Maybe he's knocking boots with Parker.

Tim Duncan's wife is a liar until proven otherwise.

If Tim Duncan wants to smoke some poles, whose business is it but his?

Well, if he were to come out, it would mean a lot to a lot of people. How great for a young troubled gay kid to find out his sports hero is like him.

Not sure what is going on with him or her, but it is pretty common for rejected women with mental disorders to assume that the husband was gay and that was the real problem. I hope we never find out either way.

Is she in prison for perjury in her sworn affadavit? Of course not. She's a woman.

You mean how great that he's been cheating on his wife and breaking his wedding vows for years? Yeah, that's a lot to admire, all right.

I thought he had a guy on the side per his arrangement with her. He obviously wasn't doing it behind her back. But yes, you make a fair point.

It was Duncan's wife who was banging her personal trainer.

Once again, Talkhard's a day late and a dollar short....

I think you were right in your first statement KS. While I am not gay, my step brother growing up was. Dealing with a religion and society telling him that homosexuality was wrong made growing up difficult for him. If Duncan is gay, I think kids could learn from his marriage that trying to live a straight lifestyle when you are gay does not work. Being from a small Midwest town, there was not a lot of support for him and think anything helps.

Reading the link in the OP, the marriage seemed to have an arrangement where he could do his thing on the side.

Living a straight lifestyle has worked pretty well for Duncan. He's rich, a superstar, etc.

Bingo. I don't know anything about Tim Duncan's private life. However, I know his basketball game pretty well. I prefer it that way. What he does once he walks off the court is his own business.

yup. Unless an athlete's off the court business involves breaking laws especially in a way that could negatively impact others (DUI etc...), I really don't want to know. Just real off a few cliches for the sportscasters and go do your thing. I'll continue to enjoy/judge an athlete for what they do between the lines

O
Magic and Thomas were homos

But they're not out. Magic insists he's straight.

So if a straight friend came up to you and said "Hey! Guess what? I'm getting married. I just asked her last night and she said YES!", would you respond by saying "Umm.. That's your business. I don't care"? That questions goes for you too, maxie. We're talking about two things here though. Of course, when it comes to basketball, I just want them to play good basketball.

I'm watching golf highlights and Andy North just said, "he sunk it with his sand wedge in a really tight, awkward hole".

Schwing.
