At halftime, the Timbers added two former players, John Bain and Jimmy Conway, to the club’s ring of honor. They join former Timber player and University of Portland coach Clive Charles, and the franchise’s original chainsaw-wielding cheerleader, Timber Jim Serrill. The ring of honor names hang under the stadium roof in the northeast corner. Bain and Conway joined the NASL Timbers in 1978 and have both been instrumental in the Oregon soccer community. Among Bain’s accomplishments was coaching Vancouver’s Mountain View High School to two boys soccer Washington state titles. ...

I have been looking for a replay. Can't find it anywhere. Since I was working at the game I would like to see the game with commentators. I was working beside Alexi Lalas. I think he was more busy taking pictures with the fans than he was with working the game. I would sure like to know what his thought were on the atmosphere.

That was a fantastic game... the stadium looked beautiful... the field wonderful... just an amazing earthy green... not too bouncy... the fans were incredible and the team just played their asses off. Having the Timber's Army sing the national anthem was very cool... and the Tifo was epic.

Soccer City USA is back. Can't wait for the game tomorrow.
