That's just the way it works in the N.B.A., baby.

No, it doesn't, but boy, it was an exciting game. Dwight Howard shot a record 38 or 40 free throws, I lost count. It was insane.

39, apparently, more than any other player ever. Which kind of annoys me, because the only reason he shot that many is that he's a really shitty free-throw shooter, so Jackson had his players foul him intentionally. I guess it is a sign that Howard's good enough that he's on the floor despite being such a shitty free throw shooter, and thus available to be fouled, but still, not exactly something he deserves recognition for.

The funny thing is that it almost worked for Mark Jackson. The Warriors sort of just ran out of fouls at the end.

Ya don't tug on Superman's cape....

Wowsers.

If he's only going to shoot 50% from the charity stripe, then tug, tug, tug

But still 50% is good when you collectively give him 37 opportunities. I don't like it at all. You are giving the team an easy 50% shooting. I like it late in the 4th; when the game is really close; but to do it for the entire game is stupid. Howard will eventually make his average. But late in the 4th, he has a good possibility of missing 5-6 in a row.
