ot: Westbrook out again

No worries, we faced them with Westbrook, result was a blazer win and a very sad Westbrook. In fact. Blazers have beat spurs, okc, pacers, clippers, and rockets, and only lost to rockets in that group. You can rest assured we are elite.

We have yet to play any of those teams on the road. Wondering how we will respond. The Thunder game will still be a huge test even without Westbrook.

also wondering how we will avoid overlooking a fired up Pelicans team sandwiched between Miami at home and 2nd of back to back OKC on the road

Hey guys, play nice. We all know how this feels. I feel for the Thunder fans.

Here's hoping we maintain our health. Every day is a blessing.

I thought this was going to put him out for the rest of the season.

Was beginning to think Portland was destined out west.

But the Blazers play too many minutes! They won't contend if they have an injury! No one talked about the "ya buts" with OKC. Funny how that works.

When it was Portland, the Nation didn't blink. It wasn't the LAL so nothing to see here. A blip on the radar, and just another sad story.

Well, here is my single tear, and it's time to move onto a new race horse OKC fanboys (skip bayless...)

So, with Kobe and Westbrick out, Lillard is an All-Star... and now Batum/Matthews have a shot? That's my take away.

Oh, and see ya in OKC Barkley. ;)

Time to cut down on the number of games. Let's do it, Silver.

Unrelated to Westbrick (fluke accident) and Kobe (he's a dinosaur in NBA years), but sometimes it takes something like this to get the conversation started. I'm all for 70 or 76 games.

Let's play the Lakers 666 games a season. I want back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-backs. BURN BITCHES BURN MUAHAHAHAHA.

Their other PG is pretty good too though.

Jackson is decent but he's still not proven and the hype is more hope than based on a resume. Like Lance Stevenson, who "leads the league in triple doubles" but has scored 2 points the last 3 times he's played Portland.

ESPN is dropping the ball on this "BREAKING NEWS."

The real story is "ESPN out of excuses for why we can't call Portland #1".

You guys are starting to remind me of my coworkers who work harder at getting out of work than they would if they just did the job. You are desperately trying to say the #1 team isn't legit you will grasp at any little straw, and everytime we win its something else. Just think, after we win the championship your only memories of the run will be doubt and discontent. The coddle, can't lose generation can't even celebrate success now out of the fear of losing. Pathetic

Which generation are you from?

This sucks. I wanted to play them at full strength. Oh well.

That's right. If the Blazers don't beat those teams on the road, the talking media heads will say the Blazers aren't legit. And yet, thosed teams already showed they couldn't beat the Blazers on the road. Does that mean they aren't legit? Of course not. It's only the Blazers who can never be legit.

BF there are many espn analysts riding our jock. Just watch Legler's new video about the Blazers. We do need more depth and more experience... I understand their apprehension. The Thunder deserve more hype for now. Let's just that defensive ranking up!!!

you think I'm not celebrating success or optimistic about a championship just because I want to see how we do on the road against a top 4 team? what the hell lol.

so far we haven't played any games that are supposed to be unwinnable based on the way NBA home/away grudge matches between Elite teams go. the thunder game would have been the first. It might still be.

So, as of yesterday, after Portland beat LAC, now he's riding the Blazer jock strap? Now, 29 games in he's "finally getting to watch Portland play" (his actual words last night). It's his job to watch Portland play and he's just now getting around to it?

Like I said, they've run out of excuses. Being popular is what it is. That I mention all this stuff is a factor of it being ironic and hilarious to me, not that I give a shit. ;)

No, the GS win in Oak was, as was the win in Denver. Revisionist history fail. :(

I'm glad CJ is cleared to practice, we have a great option to come in and pickup minutes if any one of our PG, SG or SF rotational players is injured. LaMarcus or Lopez getting hurt would be worst case scenario, any other player and I think we could still be a very good team for ~5-15 games.

The Thunder are in a ton of trouble, I'd expect them to hover around .500 until Westbrook gets back.

GS and Denver are not top 4 teams fail

Flip it anyway you want. Move the goal posts all you'd like. There are 2 types of real Blazer fans here: those that think Portland is the best team in the NBA based on their record, and those that are waiting for them to fail. Which are you?
