CP3 might as well jump off that tired bandwagon and come hop on the hottest bandwagon in the nation! Trail Blazer express! All aboard!

I never thought the Hornets would be yearly contenders. One reason:
George Shinn
There is no way that owner can maintain anything good.

A) The Hornets led the Spurs last season 3-2. If that's not "posing a threat," what is?
B) The Cavs will continue to get better as young players like Delonte, Mo, Varejao, and LeBron continue to get better. As long as LeBron is a Cavalier, they will remain atop the Eastern Conference.
i know you have to hate the cavs or whatever since lebron is better than kobe, but the only way the cavs aren't at the top of the east next year is if lebron gets hurt. lebron surrounded by williams, west, and gibson on the perimeter with a solid rotation of bigs and mike brown coaching the defense is definitely a top tier team and will stay one.
I was unclear, sorry. The Cavs will remain atop the east but as long as the Lakers have Gasol, Bynum, Odom, and Kobe, LeBron is going to need a better supporting cast to conquer that.
I'd much prefer Deron to want off of his. I don't like Chris Paul at all, and would way rather Deron for our team.
Wow, made him look good in an All Star game? Well sign me up.
And I never said they couldn't co-exist. I said I would take Williams over Paul for our team.
If Paul came on the trade market, I'd deal Aldridge, Rudy and Bayless or something along those lines. Chris Paul, IMO, is the most talented point guard since Magic Johnson, and still so young. A Paul/Roy/Oden core would be amazing, as much as I'd hate to lose LMA. Paul and Roy would be one of the greatest backcourts in history.

I think you'd probably have to offer Oden instead of Aldridge, if only because Oden is cheaper and cheaper for longer, and because to get a great young PG, you probably have to give up a great young center.
That'd be a tough pill to swallow, but I'd think long and hard about it.

I'd do it. I've been one of Oden's biggest supporters, and I think he's a huge talent...but Paul is just as special a talent and has already reached an all-time elite level.
Paul/Roy/Aldridge/Batum is still an amazing core and still gives Portland a very talented big man.
Paul would make everyone on this team better. Even Brandon Roy.

Kind of like he made Chandler and Peja better this year...oops.![]()
I'm curious how effective the two of them would be without each being able to dominate the ball. And don't give me the All Star game as an example. Everyone looks good there, and ROy wasn't trying to take over and win a game.

So Roy goes from showing he is the 3rd best SG in basketball, and has some of the best ability to take over games to being a guy spotting up for jumpers, and playing second fiddle to Paul? I don't understand how Roy dominating the ball is a detriment to the team at all.

I'm thinking with a better PG, Roy would be making more cuts to the basket, and not just waiting out on the wing all the time.
