Houston. The only reason to give a rat's ass is if it nets us Asik.

Well, that and seeing the Lakers get screwed.

They would only be screwed this season though. And guess what?! It's percent timing to tank. Then they will have cap space in 2016 season to grab lbj.

Well someone might want to tell the Lakers about that assurance. They could have skipped that whole dog and pony show yesterday.

My guess is Houston. I think he wants to play with his buddy Josh Smith and Houston seems to have the best realistic chance to pull that off.

I thought Josh Smith was coming to Portland in a 3 way involving Aldridge?

I agree. If Howard leaves LA, they have every avenue and excuse to blow it up for a one-year rebuild. If he stays, they aren't winning shit. Sing Hallelujah, brothers and sisters.

Logically I think you guys are right. Emotionally I want to see him leave to shut the local LA media up and their insistence that the Laker mystique will always prevail. That no major star will ever turn a Lakers offer down.

I'd rather Howard picks the Lakers than Houston unloads Asik to us.

Can't see them unloading a quality big man if they have nothing to replace him with. Howard would have been that replacement. With that said, don't you think it's going to take LA to acquire him? Not sure he is enough in a package for LA alone.

Houston

I really don't think Howard wants to go back to that headache. He did not get along with Kobe and not sure he would want to put up with more of the same and sneak into the playoffs again.
Only reason he picked LA to begin with was he though it would = instant championship, which blew up in his face.

Now he has to decide between a hot mess in LA with an aging Nash and Kobe (who is coming off a major injury and may never be 100% again), or head to Houston with a young team with an outstanding Harden. My opinion of course, he may actually enjoy the LA circus and just want he max $$ he can get.

A slap in the face to Lakers fans? I like it.

That's the only reason why I want him to go to Houston. Well that and the opportunity to get asik.

I want to rub it in the face of all my laker fans friends. They always feel entitled and championships come because they are the best city and fans.

I want them to suffer, which I actually hope they could. But even if Howard did sign and they sucked... They probably could be able to turn Howard into a lot of talent back.

I liked the condescending statement Kome supposedly made to Dwight that he would teach him to be a champion. Yeah, that'll help.

Laker management brought Kobe to the meeting to say that, and they lost the contest right there.

For years, the Jerry Buss ownership survived on Jerry West's recruiting talent. Ever since Jackson drove out West, the team has stagnated under all the children, pretending that Kupchak is leading.

When Blazer fans criticize Allen, I point to Jerry Buss as to the worst ownership I've ever seen. But Los Angeles propaganda praised and praised him and now worships him in the afterlife.

The more Kobe talks, the more he loses Dwight.

You're forgetting the primo players they're going to sign next summer.

See?

The Lakers pitch to Dwight Howard didn’t just center around Kobe Bryant reiterating that he can teach Superman how to be a champion. Reports from @MySportsLegion and CBSSports.com seem to indicate they also told Howard they’d get him LeBron James and/or Carmelo Anthony to form a super, SUPER team is Los Angeles.
Next summer, the Lakers could have around $50 million in cap space to throw at a colossal free agent class that may include James, Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Transitioning into the post-Kobe era will happen, one way or another. Whether it’s LeBron that makes the trip to Hollywood doesn’t really matter.

I really don't care "who" he chooses, but when is he going to make his choice? Half the NBA is in limbo because Mr. Ego needs more time to make a decision.

If he chooses someone tomorrow besides the Lakers then I applaud him for taking 5 days to listen and decide, and not be persuaded by what people think he should do instead of what he feels is best for him.

If he stretches it out past tomorrow (or chooses the Lakers) well then yeah......screw him.

That would be too funny if Howard choose to do a sign and trade with batum, Matthews and Leonard for Howard.

Then we could say "olslapped"!

“@janiscarr: Dwight has made his decision. Said he will announce his destination via Twitter possibly this weekend”

Why this weekend and not today like he said? So he can be in the moment for a little bit longer?:dunno:

LA radio is guessing that he is either letting the Rockets have time to get Josh Smith or the Warriors time to unload a few contracts. Either way they think the Lakers are out of it.

Makes sense. If it were LA there's no reason to delay.

Honestly Dwight knew the teams situations and opportunities even before he met with them. The meetings were for a few last minute questions and the other BS that these teams did to try to sway him there. He really should have known almost right away when he got done with the meetings. Only Dwight could keep making this worse and look worse than LBJ in the process.

What if the Blazers were in a 3 way sending Aldridge to Houston while Josh Smith came to PDX some how and that was the big hang up?

Why would it be any other way? Remember the drama surrounding Orlando? This guy is all about himself and the attention he can round up.
