OT: who sets great picks?

I'm watching a spurs/mavs game and Blair just set one of those picks that look like a crash test dummy hitting a brick wall. Got me thinking, who are the great pick setters currently in the NBA?

He sets good pick, but there are some people like buck back in the day that would leave bruises when they set a pick. Players who really lay wood when they set picks.

If you've seen me in person, you'd know I set a mean pick, provided the ball handler and his defender can stand around for the 45 seconds it takes for me to lumber over from the post to the top of the key.

Bill Laimbeer used to be the best at it . Then he would pop out and shoot a three. That was unheard of for a big man back in the late 80's early 90'era.

I'm surprised how few players nowadays actually have solid brick-wall picks. It used to be more common and I think it's exactly what this team needs. Count me in the group that wants to snag przybilla as an assistant coach as soon as he retires. If he could just pass along how to position for rebounds, and how to set a fuck-you pick that would be dynamite!

I've felt Leonard actually looked pretty decent in setting picks. Our problem for the last few years has seemed to be two fold, poor picks, but also poor use of the picks by the ball handler. Roy, and lillard now, seem to "go" before the pick is there.

I tend to agree with this. If you lay a great pick on a guy, probably he's going to flop like a madman and the call could go either way. Its just not worth the risk of a TO to set a great pick instead of doing a half assed one that won't get a foul call.
