You say "take that for what it's worth" a lot recently, for what it's worth.

What do you want? How long are you going to keep doing that?

Can we let them play one game before we decide if they're "underrated", "overrated" or just "rated"?

As long as they aren't x rated. Oh wait that was earlier this year. (Ok, Gregs pictures probably weren't X rated..) :ohno:

I guess I'm one that's underrating them a bit. Partially because, if you listen to ESPN (standing for Egotistical Southbeach Players' Network) they're going to destroy the 96 Bulls mark of 72 wins and go fo' fo' fo' fo' to win the rings, and I don't think they'll come close to that. But as it's been said in here, their big play is a problem. My random bold prediction is that I think LBJ is going to be playing a lot more C and PF than PG or SF for MIA this year, and I wonder what it's going to do for his health and ease of play. Wade's a great player, LBJ is a great player, Bosh is a very good player, but I think they'll be exposed a bit by teams with good bigs and one perimeter stopper like ORL, BOS, LAL, HOU and us.

Mike Miller out 3 months.

The beginning of an injury plaqued season has just begun.

Why is everyone underrating them?

Let's see: http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=301021001

Their best player has 38 pts and is one of the top 10% overall best games in his career. Bosh has 14 pts and 14 boards. But Wade is injured as usual and their only other really threat Mike Miller is out for most of the season. So how did the rest of the team do with no interior defender in a D-leaguer named Joel Anthony and no PG to distribute the ball around in another borderline D-leaguer named Carl Arroyo. That leaves them getting it handed to them in the final minutes to lose by nearly double digits.

Not quite the sign of a team about to win 60 games.

A shallow team that could really be, uh, hurt by injuries.

They are still gonna be effing good, but Miller being out is inauspicious.

Ed O.

Miller misses a significant chunk of time every year, this is kind of par for the course. If your Miami, you should hope that he's getting it out of the way early in the year.

I can see him being an important piece to that team.

He's out unitl what? January? I get the feeling we're going to be seeing a helluva lot of zone D thrown their way.

Maybe a new market in which to peddle Rudy Fernandez? :) He can shoot, and he's doing plenty of it, successfully, this pre-season.

I think they are gonna sign Stackhouse to try and replace Miller.

I think they already did. Stackhouse really isn't a zone buster though. Still has some tread on the tires, but definitely not someone to go after if your sole purpose is draining treys
