Why is there a break in a lot of posts today? Why is the bar going through it, and down it?

I think we updated to a new version of the software--one that patches a significant security issue but that might have unintended consequences.

Everything looks just fine to me (Firefox 3.6 on Mac)... what are you using?

ie. here at work. Are you guys gonna fix it, or alienate people like Comcast?

Yah, the software for this site does suck. I don't know if it's still doing it, but it would repeat words at the end of lines as well.

Everything looks completely normal to me. Firefox

We need to know what's wrong in order to fix it :) Once we know what it is, it might take a bit of time.

Do you get the sense that we've let technical issues alienate people in the past? My experience with Denny and the others have been that they've been exceedingly prompt and helpful.

I don't get that sense. Then again I didn't get that sense about Comcast either, until they did it.

How are you guys supposed to be able to know what's wrong since it works for you? I would be happy to take a screen print to show you what mine looks like

It's just good to know that SOMETHING isn't working (well, better that it all worked, but better to know than not to) and what browser you're using. We can access different browsers across different platforms.

If you can take a screen grab of the issue you're seeing, that wouldn't hurt and we would appreciate it. Thanks!

Wow, why do you have to sound like a complete douchebag?

Also, everything is fine for me, don't even bother trying to fix it if he's going to be a complete asshole about it.

Firefox 3.6.x
Windows XP

Who's being an asshole? I was obviously joking about the Comcast comment. You might want to lighten up?

Internet explorer 7

I user IE7 as well and I have problems with this site.

I'm using IE at work.. and it's whenever someone is quoting someone else, it's like a frame appears in the post.

Great. Knowing is half the battle. :)

That's mine too. Also, for me, whenever I try to reply with a quote, I click on it and it basically disapears. I have to click on it again to bring up the post I want to quote.....Does that make sense?

Working on it. Not sure how long it will take.

Windows 7 and Google Chrome here. I've never had any problem with this site, ever.

Chrome is maybe the fastest browser, period. Safari uses the same code base, so it might be just as fast.

Yeah, the reply with a quote doesn't work for me either. It just disappears and you click it again and it automatically goes into the advanced reply section.

Why do people still use IE?

Some offices lock down which browsers are installed... it's easier for an IT team to manage a single configuration.

It kinda sucks, unless it's IE6... then it REALLY sucks. :)
