OT:Wolves pushing for C Pekovic to make All-Star team

Ah, my bad. Poor reading comprehension on my part. I thought he was saying 3 minutes since a MIN injury.

Still feel bad for Pek, though. Hopefully it will heal quickly and he'll be back soon. They need him if they hope to have any chance to make the playoffs. He's playing MUCH better this year than I thought he would. I've always liked him as a wide bodied banger, but in the past his defense sucked so bad he was sort of a white J.J. Hickson - good individual stats, but not really helping his team win. Well, this year his own production is up and he's doing a better (passable) job getting back on defense.

He was always helping his team win. And he is still good on individual defense. He has improved at help defense. He prevents people attacking much more. Of course, he is limited in his athleticism, so he will never be a shot blocker. If someone does get into the lane, they most likely will score. But he has improved.

I don't think it is absurd to think he deserves some mention for the all-star game. He had a bad start, so that really hurt him. But he has been very good lately.

Deserving mention for the AS game is one thing. Having his team actively promote him by sending things to other coaches is hilarious. If I'm the coach of a team above Minnesota in the standings, I'm just shaking my head and laughing about it.
