Damn. Who will we make fun of now?
I don't believe it'll be Saunders. Doesn't it have to be someone from the Blazers' organization or history?
KP?!
Fuck!!!! Now we won't have a gm that makes terrible choices to keep our rivals grounded. Now minny may actually be a good team?
Rivals? Yeah right. We've beaten them 21 of the last 23 times. Well, I suppose the Washington Generals consider themselves the Globetrotters biggest "rivals", too.

Tom Penn will be the new GM and President for the T Wolves. The contract was already written up and will continue a long line of ass clownery in Minnesota.
At least Tom Penn understands the CBA.

Kahn = clown. At least Penn is an upgrade.Yes, he understood it so well that he let KP exclude Miles from the NY deal and had that blow up in our faces when he came back to play.
It is not shocking to me that the best gig he has been able to get is bit work on ESPN and none with an NBA team. In the same timeframe, Hollinger went from blogging to working with Memphis.
Any team in our division is a rival, regardless of how terrible they are.
I disagree. There is no natural rivalry between Portland and Minnesota. There is no geographic proximity. There is a 2 hour time difference between Portland and Minnesota. They over 1700 miles away. We have no history of epic playoff battles or fighting to win the division. In the 24 year franchise history, we've played them once in the post season (beat them 3-1 in the first round in 1999-2000). This is only the 8th year they've been in the same division as us, and they haven't made the playoffs since the realignment.
Plain and simple - there is no significant history between the two franchises and they haven't been good enough to matter since they were dumped in the same division as us. Utah is definitely a rival, as are the Lakers. The Sonics were. Hell, I consider Sacramento and Golden State bigger rivals than Minnesota. Their GM and owner tried to manufacturer a rivalry between Portland and Minnesota, but until we are battling it out with them to win the division and playing them in the playoffs calling them a rival is premature.

If Minny had a better record than the Blazers; who would have a better division standing?
