Nope. Hollinger defined PER = 15.00 as the league average for ALL players.

Reference guide
Hollinger has set up PER so that the league average, every season, is 15.00, which produces sort of a handy reference guide:

All-time great season 35.0+
Runaway MVP candidate 30.0-35.0
Strong MVP candidate 27.5-30.0
Weak MVP candidate 25.0-27.5
Definite All-Star 22.5-25.0
Borderline All-Star 20.0-22.5
Second offensive option 18.0-20.0
Third offensive option 16.5-18.0
Slightly above-average player 15.0-16.5
Rotation player 13.0-15.0
Non-rotation player 11.0-13.0
Fringe roster player 9.0-11.0
Player who won't stick in the league 0-9.0

OK, I stand corrected.

Actually, you are far from alone. The PER = 15 = average starter is a commonly held misconception. Probably because pretty much every team has one or two starters with PER < 15. But then, half the teams in the league usually also have at least one starter with PER > 25. So, it all averages out.

In reality, PER is a weighted-average per minute, and there are far more players in the league below 15 than above. So the "average" really depends on if you're looking at players as a whole or player minutes played. Regarding players who started at least 30 games this past year, 91 were over 15 and 79 were under. Theoretically, either position is defensible.

That's true. A huge portion of the guys who have PER < 15 are guys who play less than 300 minutes, because guys that don't produce don't get rewarded with PT. Which is just another way of saying the guys who produce the most play the most minutes - in general.

For the 2016-2017 season, if you consider all players who started at least 41 games, their average PER was 16.89. That's an unweighted average. So, PER = 15 is still below average starter level.

7" is perfectly serviceable. Although, visually, it probably looks a little out of proportion on someone 7'1". It's more about the motion of the ocean than the size of the ship.

Anyways can a Hall of Famer/Legend/Superstar fix him?

There is no fix. Those pumps and pills are all just rip offs - urban legends.

Is embarrassment a new motivation? As in 19 year olds nipping at his heels.

Is there something you know about Zach Collins the rest of us don't?

Jesus Christ......could he BE a bigger douche?
I don't mean to rain on your hater parade, but yes, he could.

He could be like 7'2.

I realize this is forum full of anonymous members that have no problem insulting decent human beings that don't live up to their expectations, but we could probably stick to his performance on the court and not his fucking Christmas card pictures.

Welcome to the forum! You should end up seeing that it isn't an anonymous one though. I've had the pleasure of meeting two posters in person. I would have met many more, had life not gotten in the way. I will in time....

As far as the picture goes- I posted it to support a previous statement that someone else correctly made. It's obvious, she wears the pants in the family. If it was a Halloween card, and Butters was wearing a skirt, I would have posted that too....

Women have been wearing pants for decades.

Getting Lambier as a big man coach or being inspired by the play of Swanigan is all at the behest of Meyers himself. Meyers is stuck in his own head. He has allowed the fear of failure to blanket him. Its mind over matter and in Meyers case matter has consumed him. The only way for Meyers to succeed is to get on that court and play without reservation. He needs to forget about his pretty hair getting messed up, or his teeth getting knocked out, or the discomfort of physical contact. Meyers needs to stop being a pussy.
Maybe its as easy as taping a bag of lucky charms to the bottom of his truck and telling him its heroin and that you've called the cops like in Talledega Nights. He just needs to find his speed. Problem for Meyers is maybe he just wasn't good to begin with. Maybe he needs a new team and a fresh start. Who the hell knows.
I'll tell you this I grew up playing street ball on the local court. I'm not a big guy, but I've gone up against guys more than twice my size and defended them successfully. Its all in the minds eye. There is a toughness required that Meyers just might not have. I hope it is hiding there just under the surface waiting to be revealed whether he stays here or not. He's a good guy, I'm just not sure if he's willing to get into the car with the cougar, im not sure if hes cut out to be a basketball player.

Great analysis! Agreed.

I really don't care if he is Beta or Wifey has the say. So long as he can play!

Not sure why this is getting so many likes.

Fuck Butters.

I want him to take his elf cartoon pics in another state. And, we don't need newly found forum police to discourage us from posting whatever the fuck we want within forum rules. Again:

Fuck Butters.

I've broken no forum rules by posting that...

I have no problem with decent human beings who are passive. I just haven't seen to many that are great athletes.

Settle down, your constitutional rights are still in tact.

Meyers Leonard is an obvious target for criticism, his hot wife and dope costumes are weird things for people to attack though.

I broke no rules by posting this.

For the record the Christmas tree is around 8ft and talk about having BALLs!!! I also hear Meyers could only muster the outside shots against it, in the paint was all Tree!
