THIS IS A LIST OF TRADE IDEA THAT WILL LAND PORTLAND ANOTHER STAR PLAYER ALL HAVE SOME REASONING BEHIND THEM SO ARE ATLEAST PLAUSIBLE PLEASE ADD ANY INPUT AND MAKE YOUR OWN TRADE SUGGESTIONS
Trade Idea #uno
Toronto Currently situated #8 in the East continues to struggle and at the all star break is fighting for a playoff seed. Colangello doesn't like his chances of retaining Bosh and becomes open to offers.
Portland Trades: LaMarcus Aldridge, Travis Outlaw, Steve Blake for Chris Bosh (trade accepted by all CBA rules and matching salaries)
Outlaw and Blake are both expiring contracts allowing Toronto to only take on the salary of LaMarcus which is much more than they could have hoped with if Bosh were to leave. This gives them a very unique frontcourt of Barganini and Aldridge with Calderone Derozen and Hedo filling out the lineup.
Trade Scenario #2 "The Butler"
The Wizards are currently bottom dwellers in the East and there has been talk of Butler tuning out the rest of his teammates already. With a team built around Arenas and Jamison Butler could just talk his way out of town...
Portland Trades #1: Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, Rudy Fernadez for Caron Butler
Trade Possibility #2: Martel, Outlaw and Fernadez for Caron Butler.
Matters what the Wizards want in the trade and who they expect to resign/ let walk during free agency. The first trade is two expiring contracts in Blake and Outlaw allowing the Wiz to reduce payroll/sign who they want. The second trade lets them keep Martel and Rudy with Outlaw a possible returner as a off the bench scorer. Butler is big enough to even play Outlaw's role as a small 4 in a up tempo offence.
Trade Scenario #3 "The Shot, Kevin Martin"
Kings are horrible and we all know it. Kevin Martin is a great player on a bad team. He is an injury risk but is a great scorer and is versatile enough to play both the 2 and 3 as he's 6'7. I would be worried about his tendency to also get lost on defense which could easily be attributed to his weak team defence. The bottom line is he's the second coming of Ray Allen who makes his teammates better and is a winner.
Portland Trades: Outlaw, Webster, Rudy for Martin
Portland clears some of the logjam at the 2/3 giving them a starting 5 of Miller, Roy, Marin, LMA, Pryz with Bayless and Batum playing backup 1-3.
Trade Scenario #4 "Gay... Rudy Gay"
Memphis didn't sign Rudy Gay to a offer sheet so they might very well consider letting him walk this year. With Gay coming to our roster he will take most of the time at SF
Portland Trades Outlaw and Batum for Rudy Gay
the trade gives memphis a great perimiter defender something it is sorely lacking and one that is able to knock down the three ball
