Looks like he’s on the block. Was told they’re not offering him an extension. Looking to work out a deal with him in order to trade him.

It's absolutely the correct move. He was a very good signing, but it's time to move on. We'll also get to see if Panarin wants to do the Rangers one last solid and agree to be traded to 3 or 4 teams instead of just one team.

If he says he'll only go to one team, the Rangers will get very little for him with zero leverage, think Kane to us a few years back when he said NYR or nothing. If he says I'll go to at least 3, if not 4, teams, the Rangers could maybe even get a 1st rounder back.

I would hope after many good years and being treated well here, Panarin will have some flexibility and agree to 3 or 4 teams he'd be willing to end this season with (this summer he can sign wherever he wants to be long term).

Do the Rangers a solid Artemi!!!

Possible, but Panarin has to play ball. If he says I'll only go to one team, the return the Rangers will get is extremely reduced at best. Let's see what Panarin does, then let's see what Drury does.

He should be moved sooner than later before an injury. Artemi was a great regular season Ranger.

Doesn't matter now, but an interesting tidbit:

Panarin’s shown little outward desire to leave the Rangers. But earlier in the season, Panarin reportedly rejected a team-friendly extension offer, and word was that he didn’t plan on handing out any hometown discount to the Rangers.

Love Artemi. He was decent in the playoffs. Most big time forwards don't score against Tampa and Florida. There is a reason both won multiple cups. Without him, we don't get to the playoffs. He was a fantastic Ranger. Even last year when douchebags were quitting on Drury who is a dick, there were games where Panarin single handedly won them. As far as NTC or NMC's. If Mika or Fox have any desire to win, they won't want to stay here because we aren't winning shit for 4 to 6 years. The million dollar question is whether numb nuts Drury can get back young center and forward prospects that can turn into something and our cluster fuck coach can develop them. Any clusterfuck can get back picks. We don't need just picks. We need prospects. Especially center prospects.

Iam pretty sure they will abandon this so called retooling or rebuild or whatever they want it call it as soon as there is a big time free agent on the market
