And I too apologize, I was pissed when I sent the PM. These are just silly things that blow up and there is no need for that.

Nah, I'm fine with the ban. As others pointed out, there are other things in life that I need to pay more attention to right now, and discussing politics needs to be about 20th on that list in terms of my blood pressure!

In 6 months, or a year, I may want my "PapaG" account back, but for now, the ban is not only warranted, but I was trying to get it. As I told HCP on Facebook when we were discussing my ban, I was looking for it for about a month now, and I realize that my posting approach over that time was bound to make some people lash out at me. Anyhow, since you took a lot of shit over it, and probably felt a bit of remorse after my banning, I wanted to reach out and say it's all good, brother!

I'm generally not in favor of banning anyone. If I were a FOFH, I'd have banned PapaG the first time he hurled an insult my way. It's been really tough to find great mods who don't want to be FOFH. We're lucky we've got some great ones who just get it.

As for PapaG? His schtick got pretty tiresome, but I could always ignore it or read something else and was fine with it. That it bothers other people that they'd not want to be part of the site anymore is a problem. The kind that I hope everyone would consider once in a while...
