Paschall already better than Collins

Funny that some of the same people who were saying the season was over when Zach's surgery was announced are now also talking like he isn't a good player anyway.

Zach was playing well this year. He's not a big stats guy but he also doesn't get the same opportunities to put up huge numbers like John Collins does or Eric Paschall did last night. Put either on the Blazers and they barely play.

I think it would be much easier to trade Zach, unfortunately we are stuck with CJ imo, hopefully his slow start ends soon.
Trading Zach would be so incredibly stupid right now. Mainly because unless it's a big expiring contract injured players don't have much value. It's never smart to trade someone at their low value point.

Zach is already very good defensively, which is what this team needs more than scoring. He just needed to be more consistent with his shoot.

The blazers made a bunch of borderline NBA players look like stars last night.

Stotts is good at that (see: Crabbe, Layman, Connaughton)

Holy crap. Watching the Warrior’s #41 pick kill the Blazers tonight makes me realize how silly it is to think that Zach Collins is ever going to be anything more than a journeyman player in the NBA.

In only his seventh NBA game, Paschall has already shown more athleticism, scoring, rebounding and poise than Collins ever has in two-plus seasons. If players like Paschall can be had in the second round, it makes you wonder why we thought so much of Collins that we traded up to get him at the #10 spot.
Maybe if Zach was playing him instead of Tolliver maybe he wouldn't went off like he did have you thought about that.

I seriously doubt that. Collins can barely avoid fouling out every game.
We sure look a lot better defensely with Zach in there then we do now. Anyway Zach gets 5-8 shots a game and some of his attempt is off offense rebounds.Give him 14 -15 attempts then you can talk shit about him.

So why hasn’t Collins EVER had a night like the one Paschall had last nigh? He’s had over two years to show us that ability and he’s never done it.
Would he have put up those numbers playing with Dame, CJ, Hood, Ant, Whiteside, etc?

I don’t want to trade him, I’m just saying hypothetically if we could get a 3rd star at this deadline and he was part of the cost I would include him if it gave us a legit opportunity at a title.

Of all the Blazers I thought deserved a negative thread written about them last night, Collins was not among them... Mostly because he didn't play...

Zach has never had the chance to play 40 minutes alongside a G-league team as the focal point of the offense. He's still younger than Paschall.

But it's about par for the course in this cesspool. No wonder I can barely bring myself to come here even during the season anymore.

Plus he wouldn't got those if Golden State was healthy either. But give him credit he is getting a opportunity and he is running with it.

I wouldn’t mind giving Little some burn, I’m sure him taking 5-7 min of Tollivers PT wouldn’t be the end of the world.

This kind of took me by surprise also.

Thats it? Pretty much year around.

You’ve got to be joking. Paschall would be starting for the Blazers right now and getting 30+ minutes a night. He is much better than Collins or Hood.

What are you talking about? Dame is the only player in the Stotts era to get major minutes in his rookie year. That was only because there was no real choice for Stotts other than to play him and he won rookie of the year.

You sound like you didn't even know who Eric Paschall was before last night so don't come at people who actually know who he is.
