I kinda get the feeling that pat is trying to eek out every last NBA dollar before going to make peanuts in the minor leagues.

Anybody know what kind of deal Pat signed...money and length of contract?

"The Milwaukee Bucks came to an agreement to sign free-agent forward Pat Connaughton on Friday, a source confirmed to the Journal Sentinel. The contract will reportedly be a two-year deal for slightly more than the minimum salary with only the first year guaranteed, according to Yahoo Sports."

More details...

"The Bucks are over the cap and used their entire bi-annual exception to sign Brook Lopez. However, the team still has a bit of its mid-level exception available. Having used $7MM of the $8.641MM exception to add Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee could give Connaughton a starting salary of $1.641MM, which would exceed his minimum salary of $1,567,007."

I kind of think Pat is gonna be a 10-12 year journeyman and will make plenty in the NBA. this year 1.6 Million. Every year on out just goes up from there?

Olshey commented that player's often make the "3rd year jump", and in some ways Pat did just that - he went from incompetent to a poor man's Danny Young. Not good enough.

He played hard though, and was a good team player. Nothing but hopes that he finds success in the NBA or MLB.
Congrats to Pat for the new contract!

Pat Connaughton had 11 rebounds last night. That's more than anyone on the Blazers during game 5. Kinda shows how brutal our rebounding has been vs Denver.
