Must be injury prone. Broke his wrist or something last year.

I feel bad for the guy for getting injured, but I don't really care that he has no chance of making the team.

Wow.

That certainly sucks. I don't think he had a chance to make the roster and would likely play in Europe.

I hope it's not severe like Marty's.

Actually, this might end up working in his favor. The Blazers can't essentially force him to go overseas if he's injured, so I bet this makes him more likely to end up on the roster at the beginning of the season. It's not like there isn't room.

(I seem to recall that getting injured in training camp was the reason that John Starks originally stuck with the Knicks...)

I do not know if he makes the team or not or if he had any real chance before (I really did not see him) - but it sure sucks for this kid, and quite honestly, to us, as fans.

Hope he gets better fast, recovers, makes the team and goes to make the HOF in Blazers uniform.

Well, this sucks. If we want Bayless to become a point guard, he needs some offensive players to throw the rock too.

Ummmm ...

Mills is a PG, also. I doubt they'd be on the floor together, and if they were, I highly doubt Mills would be the likely recipient of a Bayless assist.

Well, whatever his point was - using Mills's misfortune was apples to oranges analogy at best. Personally, I took it as bad taste - using what looks like a nice kid's misfortune to spread more doom and gloom - but what do I know?

Mills was talked about by the coaching staff to play a little of both, but Mills, is a scorer. I was imagining Mills as recipient of quite few passes from Bayless.

This sucks. Feel bad for Patty, the guy was all excited to be in the NBA and playing for us and he can't even make it past the first day of Summer League practice. Ugh!

Just some sarcastic commentary on us passing on Blair because of injury concerns, when in fact we have little idea how that will play out with him or others, as evidenced by Mills going down the first day of practice.
