Sorry barfo, but that scenario, tyranny of the majority, is why the people don't vote on most laws. When they do vote, as in a ballot initiative, those are often overturned by the courts for being, you know, unconstitutional.

Sure. I support the judicial branch. Things that aren't constitutional shouldn't be allowed to stand. But the people (via the established process) should be able to change the constitution when desired, including the 2nd amendment.

The plain English you didn't understand is, in other words, pursuit of happiness. As long as there's no victim of physical crime, govt. should be no part of it.

So my stealing money from your bank account via hacking is ok? It's not a physical crime.

I'm glad you agree with me that laws infringing on the 2nd amendment right to bear arms shouldn't be allowed to stand.

What are you arguing about?

I'm not arguing. Of course the 2nd amendment is currently the law of the land. I think where we disagree, if we do, is that I don't think it would be terrible to amend the amendment. And I don't think the constitution is the everlasting word of god.

I'm fine if the constitution is amended, so be it. But there is no real effort to do so, and the folks that are figuring out other schemes to infringe on our rights are traitors.

Traitors? That seems a bit over the top.
