Paul George to OKC

Completely out of left field. Blake Griffin to OKC? Wouldn't have surprised me. The Thunder weren't even on my radar as a destination for George.

By the way, Blake Griffin is going to sign with the Thunder now too.

Fuck.

Na, they're not unrealisitic. Swing for the fences, you only have a couple of years with Dame/CJ. Oladipo's contract is atrocious, and sabonis is an OK piece. We def should have made a better offer

There's the key word. "Should". No, we shouldn't. With or without paul george, we aren't winning next year UNLESS it's injuries to GSW.

Do you want to mortgage the future for a CHANCE at injuries? That's downright stupid. I'm glad he stayed pat in reference to George. It's moronic. And now OKC will be horrible in two years, and we now have one less team in 3-4 years to not have to worry about.

Last year many of you were freaking out because OKC added Oladipo and Sabonis! And now they trade both, albeit for a good player, and all of a sudden they are chump change. So which time were you all wrong? This year or last year?

It's official: the Blazers have no balls. None. They could have put together a much better package for a one year rental of PG13. Now every single team in the NW Division got better and the Blazers stood pat. Fuck this.

Were you peeking through the blinds a la Quick? You knew the strategy? You had KP on speed dial?

Bruh... It takes two to tango and you should know damn well KP didn't wanna dance with us.

That, plus Oladipo is better than anyone we could offer.

Have you ever come to this forum and not complained about something?

I am so happy that you are satisfied with the perpetual mediocrity this team is, and apparently has little desire to be anything more than. I lived to watch them win a championship. I would like to see another one before I die. The way things are going, I am not optimistic. OSUBlazerfan was right... keep wasting years if Lillard' s prime, and he's gonna walk. I don't give a fuck what he says now... They ALL do it.

The future isn't cut and dry. We can't expect Dame to be happy on a team getting bounced early in the playoff year after year. You can't count on the health of our back court either. Dame is in his prime and you need to go for broke.

I have several friends who are fans of other teams who believe Portland will be finish 3rd in the West if Nurk is healthy.
I'm not as sold but their reasoning is solid.
(I see Portland 4th/5th/6th)

Hayward goes east. = Jazz fall
Clippers are a fire sale.
Spurs will fall due to Parker injury & Aldridge being gone.
TWolves still have the same issues as last year.

GSW

Rockets
Portland
Spurs

OKC
TWolves
Jazz
Denver
Pelicans

Suns
Lakers

Kings

Relative to Ibaka they were great. Relative to Paul George, they're chump change. So right both times!

As I explained before:

Balls are weak things. Fragile. Handle with care. Graze them, and a man will go DOWN.

Pussies? They have 9lb children and can take a pounding.

Okay. Answer me one question, Just one REALLY easy question: Do we win next year, barring ANY injuries to GSW with Paul George?

Answer it honestly. Because the answer is no.

What about 3-4 years from now? THAT'S what we should be looking at. Not short-sighted moves that will yield us nothing.

You're angry at something that is only a miracle to happen next year - so build towards 3-4 or 5 years from now.

It's really, really simple. And Lillard will be here. He's smart, he understands it.

You guys are forgetting that Olshey MADE AN OFFER for Paul George and Indiana turned him down.

Good.

Why'd you quote me though? Olshey just did a prelim offer because 29 other teams did. lol. Just making an offer doesn't mean he didn't want to stay pat. If Indy was really stupid (Like, Khan stupid)... it was probably for Meyers and a 2021 pick.

We may never know.

I'd be estatic for the 6th seed this year. We may be able to at least get to the WCF in that seed (if the top 4 shape out to be GSW, Houston, OKC, and whoever else)

And the Suns who could be sleeper in West like Denver last year.

Still not scared of PHX. They are a few years out.

But if Denver picks up Milsap, things get far tougher in the division than they already are.

Warriors
Rockets
Spurs
Thunder

That's your top 4 in the West right now as things stand.

The more that I think about it I hate the Rockets got their slimey hands on Paul. And in a cap friendly, just under-the-line deal to. Hopefully the ball-hog Beard Man and CP3 are at each others throats by the end of the season.

Crazy talk. We have no one better than Oladipo to offer.

CRABBE'S contract sucks.
BUTTERS' contract sucks.
TURNER'S contract sucks.

All of which are WAY suckier.

OKC won't be any better than they was last year even with George as long that Westbrook has the ball in his hand he will take shots away shots from George. Minnesota might be better but again who don't get there shots due to Bulter. So both teams might be better but not by much. We will get better due to Nurk full season and Vonleh plays really good beside him and you might have Collins beside him. You got remember Collins is a rim proctor too and if you getting minutes behind Nurk there might not be a big drop off. Last when Leonard went in the game you seen teams attack the bucket on us. Just big difference for us.

Durant averaged 19 shots per game his last season with Russ. He'll be fine.

I disagree. I think with PG we have a solid chance of beating GSW.

You're.

Selling.

Nurk.

SHORT.
