So if hayward stays, somehow the Blazers are better next year than them? WTF?

Na, they're not unrealisitic. Swing for the fences, you only have a couple of years with Dame/CJ. Oladipo's contract is atrocious, and sabonis is an OK piece. We def should have made a better offer
You're still forgetting Nurk!
You forgot Memphis too.GSW
Houston
SA
OKC
Jazz
Timberwolves
Pelicans
Blazers
Nuggets
Clips
Yea, thats tough
It's official: the Blazers have no balls. None. They could have put together a much better package for a one year rental of PG13. Now every single team in the NW Division got better and the Blazers stood pat. Fuck this.
Have you ever come to this forum and not complained about something?
Do you want to mortgage the future for a CHANCE at injuries?
Ladies and Gentlemen: your NEW YORK KNICKS!Man. If we paid luxury tax just to finish put of the playoffs.... that would say more about the modern NBA than anything.
Completely out of left field. Blake Griffin to OKC? Wouldn't have surprised me. The Thunder weren't even on my radar as a destination for George.
By the way, Blake Griffin is going to sign with the Thunder now too.
Fuck.
Relative to Ibaka they were great. Relative to Paul George, they're chump change. So right both times!Last year many of you were freaking out because OKC added Oladipo and Sabonis! And now they trade both, albeit for a good player, and all of a sudden they are chump change. So which time were you all wrong? This year or last year?

I am so happy that you are satisfied with the perpetual mediocrity this team is, and apparently has little desire to be anything more than. I lived to watch them win a championship. I would like to see another one before I die. The way things are going, I am not optimistic. OSUBlazerfan was right... keep wasting years if Lillard' s prime, and he's gonna walk. I don't give a fuck what he says now... They ALL do it.
You guys are forgetting that Olshey MADE AN OFFER for Paul George and Indiana turned him down. There's the key word. "Should". No, we shouldn't. With or without paul george, we aren't winning next year UNLESS it's injuries to GSW.
Do you want to mortgage the future for a CHANCE at injuries? That's downright stupid. I'm glad he stayed pat in reference to George. It's moronic. And now OKC will be horrible in two years, and we now have one less team in 3-4 years to not have to worry about.
Ya'll delusional, Blazers finish in bottom 4 playoff spots in the west the next two years, Lillard will be on his way out. It's happening everywhere. These guys want to play for winners.
Ladies and Gentlemen: your NEW YORK KNICKS!
I have several friends who are fans of other teams who believe Portland will be finish 3rd in the West if Nurk is healthy.
And the Suns who could be sleeper in West like Denver last year. You forgot Memphis too.

That's your top 4 in the West right now as things stand.

No one likes Memphis?
OKC won't be any better than they was last year even with George as long that Westbrook has the ball in his hand he will take shots away shots from George.
Okay. Answer me one question, Just one REALLY easy question: Do we win next year, barring ANY injuries to GSW with Paul George?
Answer it honestly. Because the answer is no.
What about 3-4 years from now? THAT'S what we should be looking at. Not short-sighted moves that will yield us nothing.
You're angry at something that is only a miracle to happen next year - so build towards 3-4 or 5 years from now.
It's really, really simple. And Lillard will be here. He's smart, he understands it.
