Can we trade Whiteside for Adams? I'm not sure what we would have to include for that....and I doubt Adams would want to be on the bench once Nurk recovers.

No please, a motivated Whiteside is much better than pussy Adams and Whiteside is on a expiring contract, while Adams awful contract goes till 2021
 
I feel like I want to complain about this. Spare me a moment, and then tell me if I'm right or full of it.

I feel like the Blazers just can't get a break. When we first drafted Dame, practically overnight the Warriors pop up and dominate the West.

Now they are in a down year, we improve this summer, slightly.....and now suddenly the Clippers look like they are popping up in one summer to become a genuine contender that could legitimately get a championship, if they add a couple of bench players. Love or Iggy, perhaps?

And that's not including the fat flopping abomination we have to put up with in Denver.

Fucking A. When is it going to be OUR turn? We've done everything right with the exception of one season of idiotic contracts. We built a team around a guy who loves the city and has zero character issues, we got a good Center who is loved by all, and we've been pretty good with spending money and okay at drafting. So when the fuck does the light of Basketball Jesus shine upon thee? Because I'm fucking sick of hearing about LA, Kahwi, LeBron, and all the rest of those popular cock suckers who ring chase and fuck off when the going gets tough.

Am I wrong?

You don't win just because your PG loves the city or your center is loved by all, you win with talent, once we'll have enough talent it will be our year but until then nobody should be shocked if the Blazers can't get in contender territory.

I get that. It's just frustrating that a small group of popular douchebags can ring chase in any big city, to teams that seem to have just the perfect amount of money to make it happen, and draw anyone to them in the blink of an eye, and we get shit on year after year after year. The fucking media can't even pronounce our players names correctly.

It's just frustrating, that's all. I can't even turn on a sports show in the off-season without some asshole busting his nut over LeBron, Davis, Kahwi, KD, or Los Angeles. Even the KNICKS got more attention than us.

Beyond fucking sick of it.

It’s excellent. I’m sort of happy for Clippers, they deserve it for the great job they’ve done rebuilding their team since Paul left. I went to their game at Staples Center last February and had great fun there too. I’ll probably be traveling to LA once a year for the next 4-5 years so it’ll be a good occasion to see some top level basketball.

I love how Nets and Clippers got the free agents ahead of Lakers and Knicks. Shows that great work means more than the name.
 
It's funny: in one fell swoop the two teams who were supposed to be counterexamples to "Small market teams shouldn't trade for a star on an expiring deal" lost their superstars. But at least the Raptors got a championship.

I think this has been very refreshing: The Knicks and the Lakers clear cap room and talk about maybe getting TWO megastars... and then the two prizes go to THE NETS AND THE CLIPPERS! It's pretty sweet!

Watch one or both of LeBron and Davis miss multiple games and the Lakers miss the playoffs.

True.....but didn't Dame say something to the effect of, 'if I was the GM, I would have never traded anyone I ever played with'? Players get attached and can make some poor emotional decisions that they are blind to.

OKC re-signed George, then got 5 unprotected first, 2 swaps and a promising rookie out of him. Not too bad I would say
