Pelicans pick watch

Since the Spurs are now only 1 game behind the Pelicans and we have 2 games left vs. both teams, do we “activate” players to try and win those games vs. the Pelicans and super tank vs. the Spurs?

It sucks that we play the Pelicans twice. Do we sacrifice our own chances of getting a top 4 pick to make sure the Pelicans don't get into the Play-in ?

We need to hope Sacramento keeps winning, and bring back 3 of our starters that are out for chronic gout, when we play the pelicans.

Yes. We want to win because if we don't get their pick, we're getting an absolutely trash pick from Milwaukee.

I think that in times like these we throw nuance out the window and go with the general philosophy of tanking. We do not activate players for the Pelicans games but continue to try and lose. We trust that the Lakers are getting healthy and even with the injuries to their two superstar players the Clippers have been better than the Pelicans so we let them win the games against us, improving our lottery chances and stay confident that the Lakers with AD will be too much for CJ's Pelicans and if they're not they won't get through the Clippers.

I say we try to lose every game. I just don't think NOLA can beat LA in a play in. Not with AD coming back and the refs blowing the whistles for the Lakers every time down the court.

And there’s still the possibility of the spurs catching them

sorry man...that just struck me as funny. Nuance isn't exactly an S2 quality. You'd have to go outside, wade thru the real tall grass, find the desiccated corpse of S2 nuance, shake off the maggots, and throw it back inside thru that window

and for sure HCP would be blocking the window and nuance would bounce away with the velocity of flubber

It's @THE HCP bro!

Yeah, I love it, you dorks are all rooting for the Lakers today huh?

Pels play the Lakers today at 4:00pm in New Orleans! Huge game since they are tied in the win column at 31, and the Pels lead the series 1-0 with with only one more game between them after today!

*If* New Orleans loses today and San Antonio wins tomorrow in Houston, the Spurs and Pels will be tied in the win column at 31!

The Spurs are on a 3-game win streak - @GS @Por @NO.
The Spurs won the season series with New Orleans, 3-1.

Brandon Ingram (right hamstring soreness) was upgraded to probable on Sunday afternoon’s official injury report submitted by New Orleans to the NBA, but two other Pelicans starters showed up on the list with new injuries. CJ McCollum (left ankle sprain) and Jonas Valanciunas (right foot soreness) are both listed as questionable to play in tonight’s 6 p.m. home game against the Lakers. In addition, Larry Nance Jr. (right knee arthroscopy) is listed as doubtful. Nance has played in two previous games for New Orleans, but not in a back-to-back, which would be the case Sunday.

We absolutely need a Lakers Win. Go LeBron, Go Westbrook

LeBron took the tap from Dwight Howard to begin the game then hiked it between his legs to Russell Westbrook behind him.

Ouch rough start. Lebron still the guy to take if you have one big game to win

Lakers defense (including Wenyen) is causing problems for the Pels and Lebron is on fire on offense, already drilling two 3-pointers.
Lakers start 10-0 timeout New Orleans.

Pelicans going all out to win...both CJ and Val who were questionable are starting

Pelicans are the better team. Lakers offense is worse than Stotts offense
