Haha...Trump just shut down Pelosi's European vacation she planned on taxpayer's dime.

Between the new commie additions to the Dem party opposing her and mocking her, the continual quoting of her refusals to come to the negotiating table and conduct government business openly and honestly, and the continual outing of swamprat Dems wasting taxpayer's money on travel and lobbying/campaigning, this is like watching a train wreck.

What a stupid dick measuring contest this has become.

Power move.

Somebody who just doesn't give a fuck will always be able to pull a bigger power move than somebody who is worried about offending people

I agree with you that our current president just doesn't give a fuck. As a government contractor, I'm just glad the program I work for is already funded. If I was 1 of the 800,000 that isnt getting a paycheck I would be even more annoyed by this pointless back and forth between Pelosi and Trump.

You do realize that

A) She already cancelled the trip

and

B) His own secretary of treasury is going on a trip.

I know, being outside of your bubble is scary, but truth hurts. Have a fantastic day.

Wrong. The flight was cancelled an hour before it was scheduled to leave. Awkward. And guess what? Trump's Secretary of Treasury will not be travelling either.

That lying swamprat.

'You Liar!': Chaffetz Slams Nancy Pelosi's Call for State of the Union Delay
Pelosi suggests Trump submit address in writing.

Former Utah congressman and Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for urging President Trump to delay his planned State of the Union address amid the partial government shutdown.

Pelosi (D-Calif) on Wednesday suggested Trump postpone the televised address -- scheduled for Jan. 29 -- until the shutdown ends, or submit the address in writing.

“Sadly, given the security concerns and unless the government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to Congress on January 29," Pelosi wrote in a letter to Trump.

Today, I wrote to @realDonaldTrump recommending that we delay the State of the Union until after government re-opens, as the @SecretService, the lead federal agency for #SOTU security, faces its 26th day without funding. https://t.co/K2oL8WGvqo pic.twitter.com/g3fIlxDbbK

— Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) January 16, 2019

On a special live audience edition of "Fox & Friends" Thursday, Chaffetz said when he heard Pelosi speak about delaying the State of the Union, his first thought was, "You liar!"

Rep. Jordan: Pelosi Urging SOTU Postponement Underscores That Democrats Are Focused on 'Stopping' Trump

He took issue with Pelosi citing "security concerns," pointing out that the Capitol Police and Secret Service are fully funded despite the shutdown.

"It was just two weeks ago Nancy Pelosi went to the floor and said, 'We're going to be transparent, we're gonna be a town hall, we're gonna allow debate.' She wants to shut down the debate because she knows the president will win this argument," Chaffetz said.

He said he's proud of Trump for "forcing the issue" and demanding funding for border security, including his long-promised wall.

"We have to find a resolution to this," Chaffetz said. "The president's going to win this fight, though, because it's the right fight. It's what the border security experts want, it's for national security, it's protecting our nation, and Democrats have a huge problem on their hands."

So what are you going to say when Trump caves?

I would love to see Nancy's when she tries fly back to California.

So many ways around the Dem obstruction.

Pelosi continues to be outmaneuvered by Trump at every turn.

State Department recalls most furloughed employees amid shutdown; makes additional funding available for salaries

By Andrew O'Reilly | Fox News

The State Department announced that it has found funding to recall most of its furloughed employees who have gone without pay since the start of the government shutdown last month.

In a statement posted on the State Department’s website, Deputy Under Secretary for Management Bill Todd said the government is making additional funding available to pay the salaries of employees and expects most employees to be back at work starting Jan. 22, with overseas workers starting back January 20.

“As a national security agency, it is imperative that the Department of State carries out its mission,” Todd said in his statement. “We are best positioned to do so with fully staffed embassies, consulates, and domestic offices.”

SHUTDOWN STANDOFF ESCALATES AS PELOSI DIGS IN ON DELAYING SPEECH, TRUMP SAYS DEMS 'HIJACKED'

He added: “Recognizing the increasing hardship to employees caused by the ongoing lapse in appropriations, the Department is taking steps to make additional funds available to pay employee salaries.”

Todd, however, warned that while employees will receive their salaries, “bureaus and posts are expected to adhere to strict budget constraints with regard to new spending for contracts, travel, and other needs.”

The State Department is the latest government agency to recall its workers, and one of the few that has found a way to pay its employees during the partial government shutdown.

The Internal Revenue Service earlier this week announced that it was recalling about 46,000 of its employees furloughed by the government shutdown — nearly 60 percent of its workforce — to handle tax returns and pay out refunds.

With the official start of the tax filing season coming Jan. 28, the Trump administration has promised that taxpayers owed refunds will be paid on time, despite the disruption in government services caused by the partial shutdown, now in its fourth week.

Did you not know that it's against the law for Pelosi or anyone else in government to take a vacation at taxpayer expense? Democrats changed this practice long ago.
At Boeing we even had to provide a bowl or some sort of empty can for government representatives to throw a quarter in whenever they got a cup of coffee from one of the coffee pots that every group had.

I do admire the snarky response from Trump in cancelling Pelosi's trip, but keeping her from traveling to Afghanistan is hardly punishment for her.
She's 78 years old. I doubt she really minds having an excuse not to go to a war zone on the other side of the globe.

Whereas cancelling Trump's speech actually does take away something he truly values - major ego-stroking TV time.

Like Trump continously vacationing to Mar A Lago on taxpayers dime

Pelosi's abuse of military aircraft perks are legendary.

Judicial Watch: Documents Detail Nancy Pelosi’s $185,000 CODEL to Italy and Ukraine in 2015
JANUARY 18, 2019

Total Air Force Expenses $184,587.81

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained documents through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Air Force detailing $134,587.81 plus $50,000 for an advance of funds for an “escort officer” for a total of $184.587.81 for then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Congressional delegation (CODEL) to Italy and Ukraine in 2015.

Judicial Watch filed a December 2015 FOIA lawsuit after the Air Force failed to respond to an August 2015 request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Defense (No 1:15-cv-02236)) for:

All records regarding mission taskings of flights escorting members of Congress

All records concerning transportation costs for transporting members of Congress

All passenger manifests (DD-2131) for transporting members of Congress

All weekly travel reports for members of Congress

The documents show that from July 30 to August 6, Pelosi took a trip to Milan, Rome and Naples, Italy, and Kiev, Ukraine, for herself, her husband, several members of congress and their spouses. The Italy trip included Milan, Rome and Naples with visits to the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Duomo and viewing Da Vinci’s “Last Supper.”

The documents also show the Air Force’s negative response to a Pelosi staff request for a specific crew for Pelosi’s flight. An official notes that it: “would be a disastrous precedent to set even if it were possible.” The Air Force further points out: “Our ARC crews have plenty to balance already with military duties and their civilian employers.”

The documents also detail a CODEL trip for Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), who traveled commercial flights to Asia, including Tokyo and Okinawa, Japan; Seoul, Korea; plus Beijing and Hong Kong, China. This trip, with flights and per diems, cost at least $26,009.03.

“Speaker Pelosi has a demonstrated record of abusing the perks of office that give her access to military luxury travel paid for by taxpayers,”
said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Judicial Watch previously uncovered that Pelosi’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over one two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.

Judicial Watch’s work exposing Pelosi’s travel abuses resulted in her successor John Boehner declining to use Air Force luxury jets to travel to his Ohio congressional district.

What are Trump's total Air Force expenses to fly to his golf resorts. You know, golf, the game he said he would be too busy to ever play. You know, Air Force trips he said he would be too busy in the White House to ever take?
